Pretty good
by Kent46123 on 12/21/10Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisSoprano soloist was fantastic -- good strength, range, breathing, dynamics -- a perfect performance. Alto soloist was beautiful, but voice was weaker and she had to catch breaths where normally you don't hear this voice taking breaths. Tenor was also weak in Part 1 but gained confidence (?) and did better in the rest of the oratorio. Bass soloist was strong, deep, and powerful. Overall, an excellent job, but his intonation on "Thus saith the Lord" was a little sloppy. Choir did a wonderful job, with excellent balance, articulation, and intonation. ISO was superb, as always. Trumpets in the opera box were a nice surprise.
