Very late start. Sound was not clear. Show was stopped during Sanborn’s set most likely because of late start. Changing Between sets seemed disorganized and not efficient.
Totally unorganized event. More time was spent waiting for musicians than performance time. This venue isn't suited for top shelf performers such as Sanborn, Butler, etc. I had 2 VIP seats and clearly didn't get our money's worth. The sound technician must have called in sick, and lightning was controlled manually. Totally unsatisfactory and it goes without saying, I'll never patronize this place again.
This is the worst concert ever attended, started one hour late, the change between acts was one hour my wife and I left before Jonathan and David, should receive a total refund.
The Miramar Amphitheater was a disorganized mess! What a disappointment this concert was! It was scheduled to start at 7:00pm but no one came on stage til 8:15pm. Did not know who these groups were. What was so frustrating was the people doing the set ups for the stage. They had no idea what they were doing. Unplugging this and that… By the time David Sanborn came on it was 11:20, he played 2 songs and they yelled curfew and they let him play one more and that was the show. All of those people came to see him not anyone else. He was the draw. I love David Sanborn but this was not in his control. So after paying over $300 for tickets from Ticketmaster and a $20 parking fee I will not be going back to this venue. WHAT A TOTAL DISASTER!!!
I paid to see David Sanborn, unfortunately he only played 3 songs because the three musicians who played before them (who did not pay to watch) had "technical problems"
Event started extremely late, no intertainment while waiting, sounds were completely off, terrible terrible. We just had to leave.
Miramar Ampitheater had numerous technical issues. Up to 45 min between each act. Mr. Sanborn was the final act. HE WAS WORTH THE WAIT. I wish he could’ve had more time to play❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯
The event started very lates, no MC, so we had to figure out who was on and not sure if that was really the scheduled guest. No DJ or intermission entertainment. $70 plus parking, drinks and food! NOT WORTH THE MONEY SPENT!
The event was 2 hours late. The sound system was not good for first two performers- Jonathan Butler& Regina Belle. David was great, sound fixed but as the headliner only performed 3 songs due to venue curfew. More importantly, based on news reports seen next day I believe this was all caused by airlines delays but no one cared to share the reason for two hour delay (inability to do proper sound check earlier) with the audience. We were just sitting and waiting. Communication is key!
Worth just to hear "Run for Cover" Very Marcus Miller based set list including many of the classics from the 80s. Bass player did an outstanding job on of the tunes. Dave is a legend in Jazz going all the way back to the 60s.
From start to finish this was a solid musical experience. David Sanborn is a legend and he never let his audience down. He also let the musicians around him shine. Unforgettable evening.
Purchased tickets for 2 previous shows and could not make it. I am sooooo glad I was able to hear him perform this time! It was a wonderful show!
The concert was just additional evidence that David Sanborn at eighty-plus is just like fine wine as he ages! Just better with time! Grover Washington, George Dukes and Joe Sample to name a few that would be proud of my man David Sanborn!
Love love the show David Sanborn and his Band gave us an amazing experience
What a wonderful experience! Sanborn was fabulous as well both of his guitar players who were simply AMAZING!! What a privilege to see such wonderful artists perform!!
David Sanborn is going strong and still has the "chops". What a great show they put on at the Goodyear Theatre in Akron, Oh. Everyone one of his band mates put on a show of their own in solo performances. I was particularly impressed with Andre Berry's bass solo. I haven't heard a bass player that accomplished in forever. So glad we were there to see the performance. Best of health to Mr. Sanborn.
David Sanborn and company put on an amazing performance at the Goodyear Theatre in Akron. He is still on top of his game and he related well to the audience. I'll see him again the next time he passes through.
Everything about the David Sanborn show fantastic! Dinner was superb, fresh and tasty. The venue was cozy and comfortable and the acoustics were amazing. Can’t wait to come back for another journey from Pittsburgh it’s worth a trip!!!
Surprisingly great show. Heard that he gave a ho-hum show at the Fraze. I would see him again.
Great show! Worth the 2 year wait. David was on his game and played incredible sax. The guitar solos were amazing and were a perfect compliment to the sax. The drum solo was invigorating and the base solo was unlike any I have ever heard. The keyboards were perfect and filled out the beautiful arrangements. Loved the show. It is no wonder that David still thrills the crowd with his songs by bringing such a great, tight band!
