Disney Presents The Lion King (Touring) Tickets

I’ve been waiting seven years to bring my mom to see The Lion King. I knew she would love it, and she certainly did! We were in the sixth row main floor at the matinee on 4/13/24. I’ve seen it three times before, including on Broadway. The current touring cast is absolutely phenomenal. However, I’m not sure what was going on with the sound, but there were so many moments where we couldn’t understand what was being said. Some of the performers were mic’ed well enough, but then there were other performers where they sounded like they were attempting to speak out of a tin can. Add to that the (amazing) orchestra and the air circulation/conditioning system, and it was difficult to hear the dialogue and some of the singing. I thought it might be where we were sitting, but a friend of mine was at a different performance and was sitting up in the first few rows of the balcony and said he and others around him were struggling to hear the voices too. So.. note to the sound designer/soundboard operator: I get that you might be trying to go for a more “natural” sound, but it’s ok to boost those voices so the audience can hear them over the orchestra and air conditioning. Acoustics can be tricky, but please give us a little more!

I waited a long time to see The Lion King, and it was well worth it. I am always amazed at how things come together on stage. The costumes, scenery, and actors all made for a magical experience.

This performance lacked the usual enthusiasm that Broadway performances have. Hard to hear at times.

A truly wonderful show, it didn’t disappoint. I saw it on Broadway many years ago and it’s just as good now.

I liked the visual production with the puppets and costumes. I thought that was excellent. I felt like the singing was spot on and really good. The problem was that the microphones were a bit off so it was really hard to make out the words. I thought the sound could have been clearer which would have made a difference for me. Overall, it was a fun night.

The performance was incredible. I could feel the energy and enthusiasm of the performers. Perfect in every way. As we were leaving, we chatted with one of the percussionist that was located in the theater on the side. Ends up that he performed at the Orpheum when we were there with our whole family 12 years ago. He shared that he thinks he has the best job in the world and, after all these years, he enjoys his next performance as much as the earlier ones. What a testament!.

The performance was great. We have seen it once before but still wonderful. We took another couple with us who have never seen Lion King and they were thrilled with the performance. We are old enough to have hip and knee issues (all of us) and so having seats in the balcony with needing to navigate steps with no handrails was an issue. I will remember that next time.

Great show as always! I have seen it every time it has come to town. My one observation would be that the music was very loud, so much so, that I could barely hear/understand the performers. I was glad my grandson didn't go; if he goes another time, I would have him bring hearing protection and I would use earplugs.

Incredible dancing, singing, costumes. Acoustics were terrible. I will never go back to that theatre. The teddy bear at the end was awful too. Can't you do better than that?

This was the third time I saw it. I took my husband who had yet to see it. We both were impressed with the performance. It hasn’t lost its ability to amaze. I think there have some modifications that I liked—less emphasis on the macho theme and more on responsible leadership.

The look on our grandsons faces as the curtain opened and the show began was alone worth the price of the tickets!! Lion King delivered in every aspect....costumes & sets were amazing! And of course, Elton John's music score! A night to remember, for sure!

This show lived up to all the hype I have heard over the years. Staging and costumes were so inventive and the voices were so powerful. Wonderful experience!

Simply spectacular. From the actors to the production crew, everything about this show is was beyond expectation. LOVE IT!!!

From the first note to the last, it's breathtaking.

Phenomenal performance from the costumes, talented actors, technical enhancements and music. Engaging the audience from the moment the show began and continuing to have characters coming the isle added to the experience for the entire audience!

This show is phenomenal! What they are able to do as actors inside those large scale animals is amazing. Everyone’s voices are incredible. Special acknowledgement to the amazing kids that played young Simba and Nala and Rafiki- her voice was insane! My kids ages 10-18 all loved it!

The Lion King show was absolutely incredible. The cast is extremely talented, combined with amazing costume, effects, and music. I wouldn’t recommend the venue (The Orpheum Theater) as the seats provided such little legroom that your knees touched the back of the seat before you. After 3 hours of sitting in a position that you couldn’t move, our legs were definitely in pain. BUT the show was exceptional and will be one that will be remembered for a long time. I believed the actors were the actual characters and I had an emotional response to the story…even though I knew what was going to happen. To have such talent that can act, dance, and sing at this caliber was a joy to watch. Highly recommend!

The presentation of The Lion King was amazing! The costumes were amazing and so true to the actual animals. I would highly recommend seeing this production.

This is my second time attending the Lion King. It was as amazing as before
