About

Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom.

The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in, and executive produced The Crew, a sitcom set in the world of NASCAR and is currently developing a single camera comedy (both for Netflix).

James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach; a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy. His second comedy special Never Don't Give Up premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim.

James was the producer, co-writer, and star of the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 & 2, Zookeeper, and Here Comes The Boom. James made his feature film debut in Columbia Pictures' Hitch starring opposite Will Smith, and starred alongside Adam Sandler in Pixels, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and Hubie Halloween. He starred in the feature True Memoirs of an International Assassin for Netflix, the independent action thriller Becky, and starred in and produced Home Team for Netflix.

    Great Night of Laughs!

by Hook on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Kevin James exceeded my expectations! He kept me laughing and entertained throughout his performance. While some apparently thought it was too short, I prefer an hour or less with stand up. Anything longer and I start checking out. Great show! Thanks Kevin for a great time!

    Expected more

by Ted H on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

a 60-minute show of nothing but fat jokes, the first 30 all about a trip to Wendy's.

    Disappointing

by ShokPump on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

His show was weak and short. His entire (only 45-50min) show consisted of very basic self-depricating jokes about him being fat. Something I might expect from a newbie standup but not from him.

    Funny but...

by REF on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Too focused on one subject, too short for the price, but he was funny.

    Loved the Show!

by Texas on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Kevin James was fantastic!!! The only small issue was the crammed seating in the venue. Would definitely go again, just know next time to upgrade the more comfortable seating. 👍🏾 👍🏾

    Incredible Show

by Clint on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Kevin was great. This was my first time seeing his show live. He didnt disappoint. Loves the stories and his energy! I’d higher recommend anyone who likes his style of comedy, GET THOSE TICKETS!!! Plus Francis Cronin, the Irish guy who opened for him, was a great opening act. Im not always fond of opening acts but he definitely warmed up the crowd! I’ll be watching for more from him.

    Fun facility

by Beth on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Kevin James is so funny, he had the audience laughing the entire show. The venue is nice but they did not have a screen projecting the show. The chairs were not staggard. We were half way back on the floor but couldn't see a thing. That was disappointing.

    Good time, little disappointed

by Lilly on 3/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Saw Kevin at Bayou Music Ctr in Houston. Venue is great, close parking, lots of beverage stations, bathrooms, friendly employees, good food. Definitely do the upgraded seating. So much more comfortable, spacious, have waiters to serve you. As for Kevin, he was funny, with material we’d never heard. The whole show was about his weight and eating however. (Confused as to the title of Owls Don’t Walk and no mention of owls at all.) The show lasted just an hour not the hour and a half it was scheduled for. The waitress apologized for the length before we even realized that it was shorter than expected. We still had a good time but just little disappointed.

    Love me some Dougie!

by Gina on 3/4/24Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

I miss King of Queens, so to see Kevin live was a special treat. I enjoyed his stand-up. It was awesome to put aside reality and join Kevin in his world and just laugh. :) It was a completely clean show, which was a bit of a surprise, but totally okay. I wish his routine covered more topics than just about being fat, but it was still funny nonetheless. I wasn't too impressed with his opening act, but that's okay. I wasn't there to see him. I would've like to have had an opportunity to take a few pictures, but that wasn't allowed. I can understand how in a dark theatre, a bright phone display can be distracting; however, a photo opp at the beginning or end of the show with the house lights up would've been greatly appreciated. The venue itself was awesome. It wasn't huge and it seemed there wasn't a real bad seat anywhere. The seats were a bit cramped, but everything else was great - sound level, temperature, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, etc. I would definitely go to another show at this venue AND certainly another show of Kevin's!

    Kevin James

by Tommy D on 3/4/24Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

I was somewhat disappointed. Kevin basically joked about the same thing the entire show. Some things were funny but kinda got old quick. Plus the show was really quick.

    Good Show, Uncomfortable seating

by MikeDA on 3/4/24Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

Enjoyed the show, The seats in the venue were not comfortable. The biggest issue was the cup holders at the end of the armrest were not out far enough. It is like the armrests are 6 inches too short. The seats are crammed in pretty tight and with the short armrests it makes a show uncomfortable.

A superb story teller style of comedy! It’s like you’re his close friend and he's just sharing his daily dilemmas, trials and tribulations that are hilariously relatable.

Kevin James is an absolute class act. Was hilarious and basically like being on the set of a long episode of King of Queens. Highly recommended and definitely want to see him again.

    Awesome Show

by Robert Davis on 3/4/24Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

The show was so funny! Kevin did an amazing job. Loved him poking fun about his wife and weight loss. I could definitely relate to his jokes especially since we are similar in age. The Wendy’s story has me hurting because I was laughing so hard!!
