    Incredible Energy and Talent

by Maneas on 5/17/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

Coming directly from Portland, ME, to Tilles Center on Long Island, this mostly youngish troupe created a high energy circus atmosphere filled with incredible singing, dancing and acrobatic feats that were perfectly timed and enacted. The principles all excelled in their roles. The small live orchestra conveyed a much larger ensemble with the members using different instruments at different times. Overall, very high quality, and a sense of the performers truly invested in the production.

by Samdancin on 5/17/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

A must see!! The cast, the sets, the costumes all came together to make this a memorable event. I would recommend it to anyone in the mood for a little adventure, intrigue and romance.

    Pippin

by playwrightcomposer on 3/4/17Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

One of the best shows I have ever seen. The music and choreography were amazing. Actors were energetic and fresh with unlimited talent . This is a must see show. Stephen Schwart knocks it out of the park.

    Amazing Pippin Cast

by Jacko11 on 3/4/17Broome County Forum - Binghamton

Although somewhat confusing and hyperactive at the start, Pippin soon evolves into a great show with tremendous performances all around. The acrobatics, while only loosely if at all connected to the plot, are fantastic; the singers, singing and dancing are simply topnotch. A wonderful assemblage of really high caliber professional performers who carry off the play without a glitch anywhere. The one downside: At times, the singing was drowned out by the music or the din of other players, rendering the words inaudible.

    Enjoyable but Disappointing

by Musicalhag on 3/4/17Broome County Forum - Binghamton

Overall the musical was enjoyable. The circus like acts, acrobatics and dance were phenomenal. The singing was overall very good. Pippin and his mother gave outstanding performances. While the leading player was dynamic, was a good dancer and had a good voice her diction was horrible and it was hard to make out much of what she said. This was the only character for which was so. The grandmother was good and funny and had a great song only her singing was a little sub-par. I think she came across to young for the part. The overall premise of the play was good - everyone wants the magical, extraordinary but these are illusionary don't bring fulfillment. Fulfillment is found in being oneself and in the everyday and ordinary relationships one shares with others. Finally, the finale, set up as well as it was failed to capture the moment. The song "Finale" fell short of the power it could have had to serve as a contrast between glory and Pippin and his girlfriend being stripped of their costumes and the reality they lived in. And the final song by the boy could have been much more powerful unless we are to be left with the idea that the boy would now have to go through what Pippin did. Perhaps we all do. But it could have been, in the final singing of "Corner of the Sky" a glorious revelation that real meaning is never found in illusion or beyond ourselves.

    Pippin with serious style

by Anonymous on 3/3/17Broome County Forum - Binghamton

Great musical, and great movement on stage with this particular group! The venue was very good as well, although there was an issue in the beginning of the first act. They recovered nicely and the shower was very enjoyable.

This show was as good or better than a Cirque du Soleil show. The acrobatics were amazing! The costuming was gorgeous and the acting/singing were outstanding. It is a fabulous, entertaining show. I would like to thank all the actors and production staff for bringing a 1st class show to our small city! FABULOUS!!
