THE WHO IN CONCERT:

Rock ‘n’ roll gods The Who have always stood out from the pack with their wild onstage antics. Known for smashing guitars, swinging microphones around, jumping off amplifiers, and blowing up drum kits, the band has always represented the pinnacle of rebellious rock genius. Their larger-than-life performances are evenly matched by their huge sound, and classics like “My Generation”, “Pinball Wizard”, and “Won’t Get Fooled Again” are still played with thunderous force. For The Who Hits 50! Tour, the group is bringing their trademark monolithic grandeur and kinetic energy to stages around the world. Ticket buyers should be ready for an awe-inspiring stage show that lives up to the mythical status these legends so rightly deserve.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in 1964 around Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and (later that year) Keith Moon, The Who have always been on the vanguard of music, art, and culture. With their first single “I Can’t Explain”, the band became a staple of English Mod culture. They also developed a penchant for onstage theatrics such as smashing guitars and destroying drum kits during their sets. The group took their high-concept performances to the next level in 1969 with the release of Tommy, known as the first “rock opera”. Their next album, 1971’s Who’s Next, further established the band with another batch of classic songs like “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, “Behind Blue Eyes”, and “Baba O’Reilly”. The continued to cement their status as rock gods throughout the decade, touring and releasing a steady string of hits. Throughout the '80s, '90s, and '00s The Who continued to deliver riveting live performances to stunned audiences around the world. Despite the passing of several members over the years, Daltrey and Townshend have soldiered on, delivering the critically acclaimed album The Endless Wire in 2006, their first album in 24 years.

    Great Show!

by Chris on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

Dolby Live was a great venue to see a band in. The warm up band was good and the lead singer was very talented. The Who's Roger Daltrey's and Pete Townsend's voices are still strong and their performance had a lot of energy. The orchestra they had accompanying them was icing on the cake. We're so glad we got to see this show!

Great music but squeezed in the Orchestra Section.

by Mindyp on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

Wonderful music.. Nothing but the best from “The Who.” The Orchestra Seating area was ridiculously too tight. I felt like a squashed sardine! I wish I had bought the cheaper seats. We would’ve been way more comfortable, which would be made the experience much better.

    Great show!

by Robert on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

I’ve been going to see The Who off and on since 1989. They are my ATF rockers. I last had tickets to see them in Las Vegas in 2020, but the engagement was canceled due to Covid, so when this engagement was booked for a couple of shows, my college friends and I jumped at the chance. As always, they did not disappoint. Excellent show by rock and roll gods! Daltrey is 78 years old and Townsend is 77, so who knows how much longer they will go on. If this was the last time I get to see them, it was well worth the trip out west to see a legendary performance. Thank you, Pete and Roger, for a most memorable experience!

    Great concert

by Jules on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

One of my very favorite groups (and there were so many) from the British Invasion years. And, as I was a teen back then, this was definitely a bucket list show for me. I loved all of it, but especially the older songs. I would have liked more of those (My Generation, Magic Bus), but that’s just my preference. Both Roger and Pete sounded (and looked) great, and the whole band was top notch. As was the orchestra!

Hopefully not the last Who show

by vic on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

Roger and Pete still bring it. Zac Starkey is a great drummer, as good as his godfather but more reliable. Love the Orchestra especially the violinist on Baba. Naked Eye was a great deep cut to play.

    Awesome

by MikeD on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

It’s nothing short of amazing how two guys in their late 70’s can play continuously over 2 hours. They rocked out like it was 1975!

    Worth It!!!

by BadBita on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

Even at 77 and 78, they knocked my socks off! The roar, the windmill, the music, the orchestra. . . there's nothing left to desire. FABULOUS!! I saw them twice in a month; in Denver and Vegas. No regrets!

    The Who…Review

by Debs on 11/8/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

Wasn’t sure what we would hear. Truly an epic event. Did not disappoint. In fact, exceeded our expectations. They still have it. The orchestra… outstanding. It was the last night of this tour. We were treated to few extra songs. So glad to experience this legendary band.

We did the VIP. Pre-Party was amazing and the whole experience was fantastic. Everyone treated us like real VIP. Our seats were amazing. Any where you can see The Who is a must. It was my first time to Vegas and I was absorbing it all every second. I had stories to tell. What happens in Vegas stays in Vega. lol

    The Who are still Rockin'

    by Rockin'Tim on 11/8/22Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I've seen the who 5 times since the early 1980's and am still quite impressed. Roger is quite smart about when and where he uses his big screams and wisely saves it for the right moments. Pete is still at the top of his game in voice and guitar. Having a top notched orchestra with them really made the Tommy and Quadrophenia sets absolutely fantastic. If you love the Who...come Join Together with the Band!

I was blown away. This was hands down the best concert I have EVER gone too, hands down. Getting in and out of the venue was easy and efficient. Small-ish venue with great seating and good accoustics. The band was spectacular. All around amazing experience.

    Blown Away

by T-Bone67 on 11/7/22Dolby Live - Las Vegas

Awesome concert! Absolutely phenomenal! The best Who concert ever! The addition of the orchestra, along with the song selections from Tommy, Quadrophenia, and other hits, made this the musical experience of a lifetime. The violinist who stole the show at the end of Baba O'Riley brought the house down.

It was soooooo..cool! They can still belt out the lyrics. And Ringo’s son on the drums is a phenom.
