About

Nine Inch Nails in Concert

It's hard to imagine alternative music without Nine Inch Nails' hand painting it all in black. But the now iconic band had some rather humble beginnings. Musician Trent Reznor dreamed it all up as an assistant engineer and janitor at a studio in Cleveland, Ohio, back in the late 1980s. This job gave him access to a space where he could record demos—all by himself. These songs would eventually take him on tour in 1988, even supporting a major influence of Reznor’s, Skinny Puppy. This led to the 1989 release of NIN’s debut album, 'Pretty Hate Machine,' a collection of dark, grimy industrial pop that wormed its way into the mainstream consciousness with singles like “Head Like a Hole,” and ended up peaking at No. 75 on the Billboard 200. Quickly, NIN would be everywhere, even landing a coveted spot at the first Lollapalooza in 1991. But this was only the beginning.

NIN’s second album, 1994's 'The Downward Spiral,' proved Reznor's star power in all of its doom and drama, especially with major hits like "Closer" and "Hurt." The accompanying Self Destruct Tour saw those songs transformed into wild and vicious performances, feeding the dark myths behind Reznor’s shocking NIN persona. But his last release of the '90s, 'The Fragile,' would show a slightly more introspective side with its haunting mix of beauty and brutality.

Into the 21st century, NIN has never quite stayed the same—in sound or in lineup—but Reznor's ferocity and fearlessness as an ever-evolving artist has. He’s consistently challenging the idea of electronic music and its ability to play with the psyche, even in its most minimalist form with ambient releases like 'Ghosts I-IV' and his own award-winning film score work with Atticus Ross. Still, NIN is every bit as steely and subversive as it ever was—as proven yet again with the experimental industrial rock of 2018’s 'Bad Witch' and its supporting Cold and Black and Infinite Tour.

Over the course of their career, NIN have brought countless venues to capacity, like Zappos Theater.

    Blossom

by Meg on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Getting in was fine. Concert was great. Lawn needed work. Riverbend has turf so there’s no mud. It makes it so nice for outdoor concerts. Leaving Blossom is still a headache. This is a major reason why I avoid concerts at this venue. There’s no reason why it should take that long to get out.

    NIN, Ministry and Nitzer Ebb

by Vincent on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Missed Nitzer Ebb😠. MINISTRY rocked the event! I've never seen them sober. They definitely are the elder gods of Industrial. NIN hit all cylinders as well. I was blown away by the live drum solo on the song Perfect Drug. Not really sure which drummer was there that night but he was a human jackhammer. The Blossom arena was nice. It is way out in the sticks so leave with an appropriate amount of time to see your show. The event staff was really cool. Even when we snuck into the VIP area. All around a great experience. And no sweat I caught Nitzer Ebb Sunday night in Chicago.

Nine Inch Nails' Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame show. Amazing.

by Sonic Sleuth on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Cannot give enough stars to Nine Inch Nails, including its past members from the 90s, who absolutely destoyed Blossom in celebrating their admission to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Nitzer Ebb was capable, but a short set, and Ministry sounded great and delivered loudly. The venue itself was spacious enough, but the alcohol choices are way, way too expensive. Having Trejo's Tacos and some good food choices was welcome, though. Would definitely return for the right bands.

A Once in a Lifetime Experience

by Rae on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

I am still trying to process how amazing this show was. To be treated to great industrial music by Nitzer Ebb & Ministry, but then to have past and present members of NIN play together is something I’ll never forget. I’m still dumbfounded that I got to see it. Now for the venue- it’s pretty. The acoustics need to be revamped. Wear practical shoes because you’re gonna walk to the venue. Very Important IF YOU RIDE SHARE MAKE SURE TO SECURE A DRIVER BEFORE YOU MAKE IT THERE. THE BLOSSOM MUSIC CENTER DOES NOT LET CARS COME IN AFTER THE SHOW, THEY ONLY LET THEM LEAVE. THERE WE OVER 100 OF US STRANDED UNTIL 2 AM.

    Disappointed

by B on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

I was very disappointed in the set list. They did not play long. There opening act played as long as they did. And the set list had very few great hits.

    Not the best quality

by Thebigslur on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

I’ve seen numerous concerts at Blossom, Korn, Metallica, Rob Zombie, Manson to name a few. This concert unfortunately had so much lights and stage fog it made seeing the band impossible from the lawn. Sound quality on the lawn was horrible. Parking was simple and more efficient then past years.

    Epic Night

by Michele on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

An amazing night with three amazing bands and one of the best outdoor venues out there. Not a bad seat in the pavilion. Epic doesn’t even capture how great the show was.

    Overall good time and show

by Tony ritchhart on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

They really need to put screens on the roof if the pavilion. Hard to see stage and screens under roof. Other than that great time and venue.

    Great show!

by Jen BillMay on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Great line up! Drove from Detroit to see this show. Enjoyed both openers and NIN rocked. Hadn’t been to Blossom before but parking went smoothly. A little walk from parking to the theater but theater was nice. Walked to the far end to use the restrooms and bought t-shirts with minimal lines.

by BobbiK on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

I have been a long time fan but this is the first live performance I could make it to. One of the best concerts I have ever experienced. This was also the first concert for my young teenage kids. Thank you for a great performance.

NIN is always great. Terrible parking though

by M on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Everything about the show and venue was great except for the parking. We were motionless in the parking lot for nearly 2.5 hours

    Best show ever

by Cookster on 9/27/22Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Band was energetic and firing on all cylinders. That and bringing back some of the core members of the band from the past to do six songs was an impossible dream that became a reality.

    Can't be beat

by AnGwIsH on 9/26/22Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood - Las Vegas

You can't possibly go wrong at any NIN concert, there's always a Wow Factor. Trent Reznor and the band never disappoint. They played Broken in its entirety for the 30th Anniversary, which is a miracle. And he played a special tribute to David Bowie by singing, "I'm Afraid of Americans". The venue was small and intimate which is a big change from the large arenas. It's definitely a great place to catch any great band.

    Nine Inch Nails

by Unscathed Ninja on 9/19/22Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood - Las Vegas

This was my 8th NIN show.... The Zappos theater was a refreshing change of venue, as all of my prior NIN concerts have been held at The Joint, Hard Rock, which is now gone. The show itself started on time, the setlist was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend seeing them again.
