It was a pleasure to see this play performed the way it was intended. Saw this show in Chicago last year and was very disappointed. Congrats to a stellar cast.
This may have been the best show I have seen at Drury Lane. The sets were great, the orchestra impeccable, and the cast was simply spot on. The two leads were so solid, the harmonies so beautiful, several of their songs brought me to tears. And the dancing was exciting! Well done on a difficult show to produce.
Play was well acted. Singing and dancing were fabulous. Actress that played Maria has the voice of an angel! I saw a production of WSS in downtown Chicago several years ago, & this production was 10X better, less expensive, and in a beautiful, comfortable, intimate venue!! Well worth the money!!
Overall an excellent production. Very well choreographed, sung and acted. Was a very enjoyable time for my wife's birthday. A couple of scenes were out of sequence from the movie version, but it didn't take away from the whole story.
This had to be the best production of West Side Story I have ever seen! The acting, music, and staging was perfect. The characters had a persona on the stage that was enchanting. The music was moving and expertly done. The emotion so real in the play moved the audience. By far, this is as best as it gets!
The ladies were wonderful and spot on (we loved several of them!), but a couple of the young men, not all, barely showed up, as though they are ready to move on, at the end of this extended run. A little laziness with a couple of the background dancers, lagging behind a few beats. The music in West Side Story is lovely. Maria's voice is spectacular, as are all of the main gals. Tony was good, but not much emotional connection.
West Side story was a favorite musical movie of mine in the 60's and the Drury Lane live performance absolutely lived up to the original movie! Dancing, music, acting was top-notch, I felt like I was 17 again watching it for the first time! Just spectacular, with standing ovations from all the theater.
We had dinner first and attended the play. Both were very good. The staging for the play was sparse but good considering the space they had to work with. All of the Drury Lane employees we interfaced with were polite and helpful.
The performers and the performance itself were of the quality of what I would expect in a long running Broadway success. We go to New York every year for the theater and this ranks right up there with are most fond experiences there.

The cast was incredible, music was amazing as well. I see a lot of plays every year and this was one of my favorites!
We love this musical but did not care for some of the scenes to be switched. The main characters were outstanding.

I thoroughly enjoyed West Side Story. Great singing, dancing and acting. The set was very well done, and the scene changes went off without a hitch. I must admit that in my opinion, Anita stole the show. Very talented and vivacious girl! This is a MUST SEE show!
Never get tired of seeing West Side Story and this production was as close to a Broadway show you'll get. The talent and sets were wonderful. The theater is beautiful! I highly recommend the dinner that can be purchased with the show. This was no ordinary dinner theater.
Well done rendition of West Side Story. Really enjoyed the production. Lunch was pretty good at Drury Lane also.
This is my favorite musical. This production was wonderful. There were four of us and we all really enjoyed the play. The venue is wonderful. We had seats in the 6th row , middle .
The production was excellent. The actors did an amazing job. The lead actor that played Anton had a great voice. They were funny and it flowed very smoothly. Everyone played well off one another. The show was much more than I expected.
Very well done production the cast was great the Actors playing Maria and Tony were exceptional
My husband and I had a great time. It was a great show and we truly recommend for you to see it.
