Great acting and singing. Awesome production and choreograph. Would be nice to find a way to fake the cigarettes smoke.
I was embarrassed for the children in attendance and for their parents. The Grease storyline is, of course, that girls with high principles can't be popular. Having been in college in 1959, I know of course that wasn't true then. But to younger people in view of today's moral values (or lack thereof) I am sure it seems a reasonable idea. Having seen this show at least six times (twice on Broadway, once at Bass Hall, once at Granbury Opera House, and once at Weatherford High School--not to mention the movie many times), we were well aware of the plot. But this production was really unnecessarily tacky. It included two times when the audience was actually mooned by one of the T-Birds, and I believe every scene included innumerable vulgar hip thrusts and bump and grinds. This seemed to be the actors' only idea of characterization. The performance of Danny simulating sex atop the hood of the Greased Lightnin' car was certainly distasteful. Singing was great, acting was sadly lacking. I would attribute to the director the tasteless and clumsy attempts to portray teen hormonal emotions.
This was a fun, upbeat, Hilarious Play! A must see!! I would go again and again.
The show had some unexpected differences from the movie as well as other Grease performances we have seen. The singing was excellent, Danny and Sandra had excellent chemistry together! I would highly recommend this show!
Very good show with some funny surprises mixed in.
I thought the play was great! I didn't love the cast member that played Sandy. She did a decent job, but I thought there were other cast members who would have done a better job. Everyone else was great.
Great fun!! Heather Botts was amazing as "Sandy". Enjoyed the show and music.
Fort Worth you are in for a real treat! Be prepared for a New York City experience at Casa Manana. There was a lot of "butt dancing" in the audience chairs! What wonderful casting, staging, chorography, superb music, incredible actors and actresses. Flawless performance!! You will enjoy this great show!!
This production of GREASE was over the top. The outstanding talent of the cast combined with the cozy up close atmosphere of Casa Manana made you feel like you were in the middle of the action. This rivals any broadway production at a real down home price. I highly recommend it.
Grease with some new twists was very enjoyable to watch, remember and sign along with. Very good cast - a mix of local talent with brought in talent. The venue was delightful with a very rich history.
We were disappointed that a great show with great music and great potential was cheapened by the insertion of so much needless vulgarity.
The cast was amazing!!!! Very energetic and talented!
Paid way too much money for this high school production!! Buyer beware!!! I was charged $80 per person only worth $20-30
i cant give a five but it was a great show i really was excited through the full show. it seemed like it was missing some great part but was able to get a great show i would recommend and have recommend it to my friend. really great show over all
It was an exciting musical. My kind of music!! Very professional and all of the actors were really great!!
This was my 13 year old's first musical and he loved it. I loved it too. Casting was perfect! Wish we could go again. It was totally worth the drive from Frisco.
Great show, just not fond of the real cigarette smoke. In todays world, I feel the vapor cigarette would have been just as effective.
My wife and I went to see Grease last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the show. It is full of humor, great songs and dance sequences. All of the cast members were great with high energy. I recommend this show to anyone who enjoys musical theater.
One of my all time favorite movies, and the musical did not disappoint. I was new to this theater, and loved the intimate setting. I realized at this show that sets do not have to be super elaborate for the musical to be fantastic. The talent was there, and the show was fun. Enjoyed the music, the singing, and laughed out loud several times.
It was an ok event. I am used to a much larger scale at The 3 Little Bakers in Delaware but it was ok
