The one that you want is back!  GREASE, Time Magazine's 2007 pick for "#1 musical of the year," is rockin' across the country in this new production direct from Broadway.  Now starring Laverne & Shirley's Eddie Mekka (Carmine "The Big Ragu") as DJ Vince Fontaine.

Take a trip to a simpler time of poodle skirts, drive-ins, and T-birds.  "Bad boy" Danny and "the girl next door" Sandy fall in love all over again to the tune of your favorite songs: "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'" and "We Go Together" as well as additional songs from the hit movie: "Grease," "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and "You're the One That I Want."

    Grease was ok

by Beezer on 7/14/09Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Grease was just "ok". Taylor Hicks was definately the high point, but he was only in the show for a few meer minutes :( I've seen Grease before at the Weidner and was "wowed" by it ~ this show didn't compare. Seemed a little like a high school show.

    Grease was Terrible!

by sailorgirl on 7/14/09Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I went to Grease with 3 other friends and we all hated it. If we hadn't paid so much for our tickets, we were going to leave before it was finished. The acting was bad, there were songs and scenes that were not in the movies. There were also times when we couldn't even hear what the actors were saying. It was also very annoying how they tried to get the crowd involved before and during the show. Having all the different sections sing and dance was obnoxious. I didn't come there to hear all of those people, I wanted to enjoy the show and that did not happen. I would not recommend Grease to anyone!

Felt that the language was inappropriate. Characters were exaggerated

    awesome

by tjlenth on 7/13/09Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I love Grease, always have.....the only tiny itsy bitsy thing that I would've changed was the voices of the girls. They all sounded a bit nasally, where usually only Frenchie does. Other than that, it was awesome! I would highly recommend seeing it and when it comes back, I will be there.

    BEST SHOW

by Sarah6708 on 7/13/09Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Grease was the best show I have seen at the PAC and would have loved to see it again. I told everyone about it and that they had to see it. My mom, sister and I made it a girls night out and had a blast! We are planning on coming back for another show.

    Grease is the word

by witch64 on 7/13/09Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I thought the show was ok. There were some really stand-out performers and some so-so performers. Sorry, I did not care for Taylor Hicks. Of course the audience sang along to every song which is always neat!

    Grease was fantastic!

by Volleyball123 on 7/12/09St Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

I have to say that Grease is my favorite thing ever invented! I have been to New York twice to see Grease on Broadway. I in no way thought that Grease put on by the First Coast Arts Festival could be anywhere near as good as the Broadway show with Laura and Max. I was wrong. It was fabulous!! Rizzo absolutely made the show! The singing was as good as it gets. The actors and actresses had the best time on the stage. You could tell they absolutely loved what they were doing. It was pouring rain when we saw it and we were in an outside Amphitheater with just a cover over us. You would have thought it was a beautiful day! I would see it again and again! I totally give it two thumbs up!! Great job!

This Grease is not the word!

by Gatorgirl99 on 7/12/09St Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

The event was at an open air amphitheatre. That night it was pouring rain. There was a play in progress before this one started, so they made us all wait outside in the rain until the other play was over, which ended up running 15 minutes late, before we could even be seated. I was also under the impression that the play was a traveling broadway production and it featured American Idol star Taylor Hicks. It did not, it was just a group of local actors from my nearby alma mater University of Florida. They even had girls playing a guys part. Totally unbelievable. I was disappointed at the cost I spent for the tickets just to see a local play production. I would not recomend this to anyone!
