BEAUTIFUL tells the inspiring true story of Kingâs remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than BEAUTIFUL music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.
Great music and story. Talent was exceptional and the majestic theater was majestic as usual.
Fabulous show, phenomenal music. Such an interesting back story... was not aware if the depth of her resume and that she was basically a musical prodigy.
I love the venue. Every seat is a good one. The show was just good. I don't like that few of Carole King's songs were sang in full. And it included more of the friends lives than hers.
This show was great. The acting was great and they did a great job at casting people to sing the songs in the show. All the singers were wonderfully represent and had amazing sound. You won't regret this show. Wish it was longer and went more into her later life also but I well was still an enjoyable show.
One of the best shows we have seen in years. Fast moving and never missed a beat. Job well done by all
Carole King actor was fabulous...we gave her a standing ovation. đ
The best play ever!! Great music! The best performance!
Absolutely one of the best musicals I have ever attended. My husband, who does not do musicals, thoroughly enjoyed himself! He loved it which made me enjoy it even more. Everything about it was phenomenal. The only addition I would make is Carole King walking out on stage her self. I probably wouldâve fainted. So so so good!
Absolutely wonderful music, terrific show! Super recommend it!
What a great show! I had seen it before but loved it just as much the 2nd time.
Really good performance by everyone. Very talented performers. Love the music and the way it was presented in play.
The performance was excellent. The Majestic Theater is a beautiful venue.
Everything went well the purchase, the show, only draw back was the parking pass. I've gotten screwed twice on them you can't park early enough to enjoy a dinner before the show. To expensive.
Not only was this production fantastic, the venue was incredible! Well done! Everyone should see this. A wonderful account of Carole King's (and others) amazing talent.
My wife and I commented that we have been to a lot of music concerts, plays and musicals and this had to rate in the top three. All of the singing was superb, the choreography was exceptional and what really wowed me by comparison to other musicals I have seen, is how adept the staging and tech work was.
A group of my 5 girlfriends and I went to see this musical together. I had no difficulty to transfer 1 ticket to a friend who meeting us at the venue, Online tickets were super easy to show. Parking was simple and not too expensive. The venue was nice. The musical was amazing! Beautiful voices and numbers. An really memorable experience that made my heart feel full afterwards
The production and cast were amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the memories of Carole King. The elevators need work. Having the tickets only on my phone was a real pain. The line was held up while I was trying to pull them up. Being able to print them would be so much better.
Incredible show, fabulous talent, pulls out an array of emotions! Loved it!!!
Carole King's music is great, as is the music of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil -- all music highlighted in the musical. Although the dialogue is witty and the music is great, the story itself is not that interesting and the actors and band are not to the level of the ones in most other musicals we've seen at the Hobby Center.
Such a wonderful portrayal of her. Showed her fans how she began her music career and became a multitalented music great!
