    Hilarious

by Sewalton on 10/23/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

Non-stop entertainment. I laughed so much I hurt. At the end of the show I was so wound up I needed a nightcap to calm down, can't imagine how the actors felt. Priscilla was the most fun event in years!

    Play was good

by Anonymous on 10/23/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

The overall show was good!!! I felt there was a lot of lip syncing....And the Civic center sound system is not very good...I would hold out for the shows that are permanent and not touring...

    Priscilla: great songs/costumes, terrible accents!

by Pentapod on 10/23/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

I know learning to speak with an accent is a bit challenging, but it's part of acting. Hugh Laurie pulls off a perfect American accent despite being British. Renee Zellweger was a convincing British Bridget Jones. Australian Hugh Jackman plays American Wolverine flawlessly. Ok, the actors here are not of that calibre but wow, they could have done a lot better nonetheless. Bernadette sounded more British than Australian and Bob didn't even seem to be trying. It was painful to the point it detracted from the show. Accent coach: not optional. Apart from the cringe-worthy accents, the costumes were good and the music was great. I went with a friend who hadn't seen the movie and she enjoyed it and managed to follow along, although I think familiarity with the movie helps. Not the fault of this production, but it's very sad they couldn't get the rights to include tge Abba songs.

    Priscilla exceeded my expectations

by Kellincbad on 10/23/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

I was pleasantly surprised that the play stayed close to the movie. The costumes were amazing. They were so close to the movie's that one would swear they were from the set. What a treat.

    Priscilla is a must see!

by Amydeec on 10/23/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

It was a great show with great music that we both enjoyed. Great story of family and the idea that you don't need to be related to have a good famil.

Amazing! Fantasic Priscilla Queen of the Desert!

by Colors4U on 10/22/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

Outstanding from the first second, Priscilla draws you into an amazing emotional journey. The central trio, Wade McCollum, Scott Willis, and Bryan West were fabulous as Mitzi, Bernadette, and Felicia. The Divas, ensemble and all the rest really shook the house with excellent dancing, glorious singing and wonderful characters. The costumes were mesmerizing and glorious. I knew all the songs and they were performed so wonderfully. I could watch that show every day and still be delighted with each performance. The show made me want to be a Drag Queen! The male dancers were delightful! It IS raining men Hallelujah!

Priscilla queen of the Desert. Eye Candy

by Hottac38 on 10/22/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

A bit risque, but not overly so. Not G rated, more like PG13. Great costuming, choreography and story line. Loved the performance as a whole.

    LMAO

by DarioJ on 10/21/13San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

Based on how much I enjoyed the movie, I had high expectations of this performance but I was unsure how they would pull it off. All I can say is that I LMAO. Although delivery was not always on queue, the oval all performance was commendable and most enjoyable.

This was such a fun evening!! I laughed all night long. The show was so entertaining. I loved the music, which was really why I chose this particular play. The sets were wonderful the lighting was unbelievable. The costumes were so much fun and took me back in time. The characters were so much fun but the story made a statement as well.
