I have season tickets and this is the best yet! So fun and the tap dancing was top notch!
technically, the show was fine and well rehearsed. It just turned out to be NOT my cup of tea. Lead lady again, was technically fine, but voice was just one which cut through me like a knife...not shrill, not nasally, but just the wrong tone...kind of like how although Ethel Merman could belt out a song, you really didn't want to buy the album. Dancing was well done. pacing was fair, could have been a tad faster.. Set was great. And thank god for the closing tap dance routine at the end of the first act. I knew then the cast could not top that and left at intermission. If they just came out and tap danced for 30 minutes I think I would have liked the show more. I know the songs are classics...I am not a young person and have known them all my life...but maybe the time for the setting of Anything Goes has come and gone. It tried to bring in a little nostalgia from the good old days, but missed the mark. I suppose if a young person wanted to know a bit about life in the30"s, this would give some insight, but for me, maybe I am just past it. Rating is Average.
Excellent! Took my 84 year old mom as a gift. I enjoyed it as much as she did.
Great singing, great dancing, funny--a classic musical comedy!
I have seen this show at least five times over my lifetime, and this one was THE BEST ever. Fabulous singing, dancing, acting, costumes, and a deceptively simple set. It was perfection.
The musical was very enjoyable. The cast dance numbers were well done and long enough to really show off some wonderful tap dance routines. I thought the female lead's voice was just right for the part. The male lead's voice, however, could have been a little stronger. All in all, it was a fun show to watch.
So many wonderful songs. Lots of great comedy. Excellent cast.
Wonderful show! The scenes were well played out and I enjoyed the characters too! All the tap dancing was fantastic! I would definitely see it again!
A high energy, funny show with amazing dance numbers, particularly the number from the title song. Very well done! My 10 year old daughter and I throughly enjoyed it.
Loved the singing and dancing. The old songs were great.
We had a little problem with the sound. We could hear some players lines and not others. The music was dated of course, but very enjoyable. We loved the dance routines.
I was disappointed in the quality of dancing among the featured actors. They did a great job vocally. I was anxious to see Marshall's choreography. It could have been done better.
Great performances. Very enjoyable. The sound was not the best. We sat in the balcony, first row, near center. The sound comes from the central main cluster above the stage. During the first 2 scenes or so the echo/delay was very loud and disruptive. It made the speech barely intelligible. It was resolved somewhat by the end of the first act but the sound was still not the greatest. Not sure if this was due to the person mixing sound or the setup or what.
Bought the tickets for Chrsimas gift for husband....he told me this was the best musical he has seen, truly enjoyed it!
It was just average. Some of singing was great but production was a disappointment for price per ticket.
The sound quality seemed a bit off from other shows I've seen at this location; some lines were not very articulate. The musical acts got bigger and better as the show went on and I almost cried for them at the end when they closed their final number. Definitely worth the money. I took my mother to this show as a gift and she absolutely loved it.
very entertaining. actress playing reno wa soutstanding
The music was fantastic the acting spot on! The show was so much fun I laughed out loud on several occasions! I enjoyed the singing immensely.
The male lead often could not be heard clearly over the orchestra. Both the male and female romantic leads were not as good acting as I expected. I did think the rest of the cast was very good. We had a stand-in for the part originally played by Ethel Merman and this performer was excellent. I really enjoyed the production number at the end of act one and was disappointed there were not more like it.
