About

UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell is an off-shoot of UB40, the reggae-pop band from Birmingham, England. Best known for their No. 1 hits “Red Red Wine” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” the original incarnation of UB40 formed in 1978 led by frontman Ali Campbell, but was splintered when Campbell and Mickey Virtue left in 2008 over a management dispute. Fellow band member Astro then exited in 2013 and soon after, the trio began recording new music starting with their 2014 single “Reggae Music.” Multiple albums followed, but Virtue eventually left the new iteration of the group in late 2018. Astro sadly passed away in November 2021 after he and Campbell had completed recording of their fourth album, Unprecedented.

Awesome but show was too short

    by 3fbk on 1/31/24Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

It was an awesome show but I felt like it was too short of a performance.

    It was fun

by MK on 1/29/24Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Ekolu is always a great performance, and a great start to the concert. UB40 will always be legendary. However, the last Hawaii UB40 concert at Blaisdell, there was a screen above so people not so close could see the stage and performers. It wasn’t there this time. I was fine where I was but maybe others would enjoy seeing the artists on the screen.

    Need sunglasses!

by Ali Ben on 1/26/24Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Our seats was off to the side upper deck and the stage lights was blaring towards that section! You barely could see the performance! They looked as if they were in front of a car with its headlights high beam on! You could hear others to turn off the lights! On a good note, the singing and sound audio were excellent!, just needed my sunglasses or my welders helmet.

    UB 40 concert honolulu

by Mike on 1/23/24Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The concert with Ekolu and UB 40 was fantastic! But one problem...the t-shirts for sale was only one style and for cash only no credit cards. I skipped on buying a t-shirt because of that..At least they could accept credit cards also other shirts or even a hoodie. I will go on UB 40 web site to buy my T-shirt and other UB 40 gear.
