About

The Wild Kratts Live! on Tour

What's the best way to get kids to learn about things like ecology and the animal kingdom and keep them entertained at the same time? Turn them on to The Wild Kratts. Ever since the show made its debut back in 2011, it's used exciting animal adventure tales and colorful animation to tell stories that clue kids in to valuable lessons about the natural world.

The stars of the show (at least the human ones) are actually its creators. Real-life brothers Chris and Martin Kratt write and direct the show that they brought into being, but they also appear as animated characters, providing their own voices. In each episode, the Kratts rub shoulders (and tentacles and paws and hooves) with another bunch of animals in a different adventure, from sperm whales and giant squids to porcupines and hippos.

In addition to knowing how to capture kids' imaginations, the brothers really understand their subject — Martin holds a degree in zoology, and Chris has worked as a professional ecologist. They also understand how to harness that combination of educational power and creativity that has made The Wild Kratts an international phenomenon and turn it into a thrilling live-action show.

With The Wild Kratts Live, Chris and Martin connect to their fans in a completely different way, as they bring their adventures to life. Not only do the men behind the Emmy-nominated program appear onstage in front of the kids who've grown up loving the Kratts, those kids also get a chance to interact with them when the brothers pose questions to the audience.

No Wild Kratts event would be complete without the animals. In keeping with the show's philosophy, the Kratts elected to leave actual creatures of the wild unhampered, opting instead to have actors play a host of larger-than-life animals onstage. Between the Kratts, the creatures, and the production, fans of the series will have the time of their lives.

    No live animals

by Star on 9/29/23Warner Theatre - Washington

We waited for the Wild Kratts Live! performance for 3 years, after it was canceled twice for COVID. I assumed Live! meant some live animals, not just the live Kratts brothers. But I--and my 9-year-old grandson--were disappointed. (We invited along our 6-year-old granddaughter, who got into the event with more enthusiasm.) For $65 per seat located midway back in the balcony, to see the Kratts brothers do pretty much what they do on TV, plus a couple of costumes to try to replicate their cartoon images, was a disappointment. People around us paid even more--scalper prices. Perhaps there was fine print in the marketing that made it clear only the brothers were "live,"but I missed it. Appeared to me to be a too-expensive promotion for the TV show.

As good as the TV show

by Jen on 9/28/23Warner Theatre - Washington

The Kratt Brothers were just as energetic and excited as they about creatures powers as kids are! Love them - so did my 10 year old and 8 year old.

    Top notch performance

by Mrs. D. on 9/28/23Warner Theatre - Washington

Chris & Martin Kratt outdid themselves in putting on a performance that recreated their beloved PBS show through a combination of live action and animation. The entire audience was involved and yelled out show catch phrases and helpful tips for the Kratt bros. It more than exceeded our already high expectations. This one is a must see for any fan of Wild Kratts.

by SK on 9/28/23Warner Theatre - Washington

We went with our 6 & 8 year old boys, and they loved it. It was so funny and joyful - what a fun experience! Chris and Martin did a great job in their live performance.

Show is Fun, Merch Experience is TERRIBLE

by JB on 9/28/23Warner Theatre - Washington

To start with, the show is fun. The Kratts are very energetic, costumes are a hit with the kids. Perhaps there could be a little less on the video monitor (every parent is thinking "I could be watching this at home") but overall my daughter had a GREAT experience. That said, the merch experience is HORRIBLE. All merch must be bought through your mobile device; our took 25 minutes to "prepare,"which is to say they just took it off a pile and put it in a bag. Dozens of kids were standing at the table crying becuase they couldn't get their toys that were SITTING RIGHT THERE. Some kids didn't get costumes they wanted to wear right then until after the show. Sometimes technology doesn't help at all.

Wonderful fun for the whole family

by ralfaro on 9/28/23Warner Theatre - Washington

It’s an information packed fun show for the whole family. The show builds from narratives directly from the television show and felt like a natural extension from it. The Kratt brothers were non-stop and kept the audience engaged from start to finish with a very nice nod to PBS. Our eight year old enjoyed it, along with my wife and me who have been long-time fans of the Kratt brothers.

by Great show! A little Ling, but my kid loved it! on 9/25/23The Lyric - Baltimore

Great show! A little Ling, but my kid loved it! I don't know if a really young kid would stay engaged, but my 7 yo is still talking about it weeks later.

Real live show without real live animals

by Anna on 9/25/23The Lyric - Baltimore

Chris and Martin did a great job! They were so engaging with the kids. The costumes were awesome! The show was literally brought to life on stage. I was disappointed to see no real life animals though. We have been trying to see the show since its original date (April 2020) but unfortunately it was canceled time and time again. The anticipation was so high to finally see the show after 3 1/2 years of waiting, I just wished we saw a couple real animals. My son loves animals and I give Wild Kratts credit for sparking his interest and teaching him so many animal facts!

Timing is off and finale isn’t good

by TheAJ on 9/25/23The Lyric - Baltimore

The show started 30 minutes late , had a 20 minute intermission! So 50 minutes of little kids waiting around! Not well thought out.

    Wild Kratts 2.0

by KB on 9/25/23The Lyric - Baltimore

the show itself was a good, the kid enjoyed it. But the timing of the show was not good, the show start time was 630pm. There were daily emails the week of the show stating to be on time and plan ahead, but in the end the show did not start until 655pm.

    Poorly produced

by Krissy on 9/24/23Hershey Theatre - Hershey

Martin’s microphone was out for about 1/4 of the show and they didn’t fix it even during costume changes. The show was fine for younger kids but those in the actual demographic saw through all the tricks. The story was a bit boring as it was mostly the two guys doing off stage costume changes and chasing a robot. Not sure what I expected but I’ve seen better live kid shows.

Kids had big smiles, glad we went, but moments...

by Its Showtime on 9/23/23Hershey Theatre - Hershey

Wild Kratts has become such a big part of our families lives and therefore the opportunity to see them live was an amazing memory that we get to hold onto. We surprised the cousin crew with tickets for all of their birthdays and they were excited! We really did not know what to expect, wish there could have been at least maybe one real animal incorporated, there were some technical issues that us as adults definitely noticed, but the kids still had smiles on their faces so we were still pleased! A big bummer was how the tickets were advertised and then confusion I guess in the purchase... we did not realized the actual meet and greet was an additional option... It kept saying VIP tickets so we thought thats what we got... to then find out that we did not have that option and could not actual meet the brothers, which could have been the best part.

    Wild Krats

There was sound issues and the altar brother messed up their lines. Not enough to keep attention. No live animals.

    Wild Kratts - Hershey Theatre

by Wild Kratt Mom on 9/23/23Hershey Theatre - Hershey

Great show, only disappointment was the obstruction we had with our premium seats. I purchased Pit seats as part of the VIP package and emailed the tour to ensure the seats so close to the stage wouldn’t have an obstructed view. I was assured these premium tickets (with a premium price) had never garnered any complaints. Our view was indeed severely obstructed by speakers on the stage. Meet and greet was wonderful for my child.

    Cute show, technical difficulties

by Arielle on 9/23/23Hershey Theatre - Hershey

We loved the show! It was super fun and my daughter had a blast. Unfortunately there were quite a few technical difficulties with the microphones and cues from the stage crew. Thankfully my daughter didn’t really notice so it didn’t take from the experience for her.
