The Texas State Bobcats baseball team is a college baseball team that represents Texas State University. They play in the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference. The team's colors are maroon and gold, and they play their home games at Bobcat Ballpark, which is located on campus in San Marcos, Texas. The stadium has a seating capacity of 2,500 people and was opened in 2009. It features a state-of-the-art playing surface and a video scoreboard.
The Texas State Bobcats baseball team have won 11 conference championships and have appeared in 14 NCAA tournaments. In 2011, the Bobcats won their first NCAA Regional game in program history, defeating Texas in a thrilling 3-1 victory. They have also had several players go on to successful careers in the major leagues, including Paul Goldschmidt, who is a six-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove winner.
The team has been led by several successful coaches, including Ty Harrington, who has been at the helm since 2000 and has led the Bobcats to multiple conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. The team has also had several players receive individual honors, including Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and All-American honors.
