San Diego Wave Fútbol Club at Snapdragon Stadium

San Diego Wave Fútbol Club enters its second season as a club after historic success in 2022 as the 12th and newest member of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The club's vision is to be a force for good through the game of football and is led by President Jill Ellis, former head coach of the US Women's National Team (USWNT) and two-time World Cup champion. Together with Head Coach Casey Stoney, the club is bringing the highest level of world-class, professional soccer to San Diego. USWNT standouts Alex Morgan and Abby Dahlkemper were two of the first players signed to the club, which consists of athletes representing five international soccer federations, including the US, Canada, Sweden, England and Australia.

The new Snapdragon stadium serves as Wave FC's permanent home, where San Diego broke the record for both the NWSL Playoff attendance record and the NWSL regular-season record, with 26,215 and 32,000 fans. Wave FC also made history in 2022 as the first expansion team to make the playoffs before advancing to the NWSL Semi-Final.

    Amazing venue!

by SG on 11/12/23Snapdragon Stadium - San Diego

Amazing food, clean stadium, great seats no matter where you are! Yes, parking is a mess but it's a stadium! You must expect long waits and to be courteous - we'll all get out. I highly recommend taking the trolley lines, it's a great way to get to the stadium and avoid driving (and the congestion). So proud of San Diego for investing!!

    Concessions stands lines

by Landrade619 on 11/10/23Snapdragon Stadium - San Diego

Lines are too long and do not move fast enough at the concession stands. Need more concession stands for games that are at capacity. Hoodads ran out of hamburgers right as we got to the counter. Would have been nice if they told us while we where waiting for 15-20 minutes in line. Besides that Snapdragon is a great venue to attend and tailgate on the lawn.

    Tons of Fun

by Elis on 11/9/23Snapdragon Stadium - San Diego

We were a group of 7 and we all really enjoyed the Wave's game at Snapdragon. We were in section C231, it was crowded but everyone was having fun, no belligerent fans, the food was a good variety of decent food, the bathrooms were clean and accessible, and the seats were great! The only slight problem we encountered was with the parking. The website instructions said to park at gate 2 but none of the attendants knew where that was. They all went by color codes. Other than that, really fun event!

The Wave will never have a better crowd!

by Ruperrt on 11/9/23Snapdragon Stadium - San Diego

With a huge energized crowd the Wave played a 1st half that was close to sleep walking. The Wave had the home field advantage and came out flat in the 1st half. How is that possible? I have 2 possible explanations; First having never beat the Reign the Wave were psyched out and never played on their front foot and/or the Wave lack leadership from their top players. The offense was terrible lacking creativity and energy. I saw very few short crisp passes with one touch. Instead they passed the ball laterally among the midfielders and defenders. Snapdragon is a great facility with wonderful sight lines. The pre game ceremony was first class and lit up the crowd. However the halftime show fell flat for me. Do something exciting that engages the fans such as a small game among young females or give away prizes for scoring on a robotic goalie. Lastly you need to provide more information on the video screens such as lineups with numbers and stats for the players. Please improve the parking situation and have asphalt and have a much better exit plan.

Best fan experience I have had at a game. Parking was easy, merch was reasonably priced, lots of food options in stadium, pregame presentation was entertaining. View was great from my seats as well!
