It was an amazing experience. Music was awesome. Would highly recommend!!
The venue is very spacious and the sound system was incredible. I was able to feel the music.
What a beautiful show! The music was moving, kind and loving. Too often it is difficult to find new music with a positive message and vibe. This is it! The audience consisted of people of all ages and everyone was smiling, feeling the love, and most were dancing. Up-beat songs layered with gorgeous psychedelic treatments from an expert in the field, Sonic Boom (former bands include Spectrum and Spacemen 3). It left us ascended. The visuals were fantastic, supporting the songs with images that helped delver the music. The venue, Bellwether, was perfect. The staff are friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help us have a good show. There was no heavy-handed security as we have experienced at other local venues, so we did not feel like we were going to visit a prison. The club is welcoming and we appreciated the mellow vibe. If you have the opportunity, let Panda and Sonic reset you, too.
Visuals were great, and Panda’s vocals sounded just like what I’m used to hearing on the recordings. It was really cool to see him on stage with Sonic boom for a great set containing newer and older material.
Super impressive, tight show. Great sound and terrific visuals. This guy should be playing arenas with this show, so it was very fun to see him in a small venue like the Bowery Ballroom. Love his recent album and he did a great job opening it up into a live show. Very exciting.
THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME SEEING HIS GREATNESS MR. P. BEAR IN BROOKLYN. I LOVED THE FIRST SHOW BUT, AND I WONT USE SWEARS IN MY REVIEW BC JESUS IS WATCHING, HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!! I WAS IN THE FRONT ROW OF COURSE, AND SOMETIMES I FELT LIKE I WAS DYING BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY LIGHTS AND I WAS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF A SPEAKER, BUT HONESTLY AT THAT POINT I HAD ACCEPTED MY FATE. I DID NOT DIE BUT I DEFINITELY HAD A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE LIKE MOST PEOPLE DO AT PBEAR SHOWS. HE PLAYS SOME NEW SONGS AND SOME REWORKS OF OLD SONGS THAT WILL BLOW UR FREAKING PANTS OFF. I LEFT THIS SHOW SCREAMING GOD BLESS PANDA BEAR!!!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!!
I went to the show really hoping to hear something from Person Pitch. Although I didn't get what I hoped for, I was still really impressed with the show. There were a few songs off of Tomboy (including the title track) that were played, but mostly everything sounded new to me. That said, the new material felt and sounded like classic Panda Bear. The songs were great. The sound was excellent. And the projections and lighting were really awesome and psychedelic. Well worth the price of admission.
setlist was Make Believe Day After Day Dark Cloud Vacuum Can't Come Back Down Below The Preakness Other Guy Principle Real Fill Those Spaces {encore} Last Night At The Jetty Scheherazade Surfers Hymn show was during the era before Panda's 4th solo album
The combination of the incredible sound in Webster Hall with Noah Lennox's perfect set list, the show was one of the best I have been to.
