The stars should be the stars

by BPG on 4/26/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

We saw 2 of the shows: The Morning Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm. TMS was at best a 3 star review because the moderator thought the audience was there to see and hear her, especially her political opinions (one of the writers also thought it was a political event). She would interrupt the actors to tell stories about herself and her experiences...over and over again. When the stars of TMS actually were able to talk and share experiences the show was very good. When the moderator or the writer spoke, the show went sideways. Curb, on the other hand was definitely a 5 star review. Judd Apatow (the moderator) kept things light and flowing. He would raise a topic and get out of the way, only interjecting when appropriate - the way a moderator should fulfill their role. The stars and the producer were great. They gave a lot of behind the scenes info on the show and kept things very light and funny. The Curb experience was exactly what a Paley Fest experience should be like.

    Worth it!

by Ilsa on 4/25/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Easy getting to the theater via Metro. App make it easy to enter (although it was acting up the night before). An insightful evening with Stephen Colbert - got to know more about his life off screen and the journey he had that got him to The Late Show. The final story had me laughing with tears. Thank you.

    Paley

by Joesas on 4/24/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

The Loki event was wonderful, but the Stephen Colbert event was one of the most entertaining show I’ve seen in a very long time. I’ve always been a fan of Stephen Colbert, after this show, more so. He is very funny and Ben Swartz was equally as funny.

What a treat to see Stephen Colbert and gain more insight of a funny, intelligent, compassionate late night talk show host. I left the show wanting to learn more!

Paleyfest is always a good time! Love to see the crew and cast as themselves! Colbert never disappoints and also Larry David is sooooooo the same as in Curb it is hilarious! Highly recommend!

    Humor, Music & Surprises

by Azucena La Reina on 4/22/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

We didn't know what to expect, and this made the experience even better. In true Family Guy style, the table read, the orchestra, the improvisation, just fabulously funny.

    Wow!!!

by Mando on 4/22/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Again Wow!!! This was not no ordinary panel discussion , it was a small theater production. It was a comedy musical, with a live orchestra. It was top notch.

    Unforgettable end of an era

    by Seinfeldfan4life on 4/22/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

Curb Your Enthusiasm. What an amazing show; one without scripts and only an outline; one starring comedians who are friends and react to one another, laughing and saying surprising things. What a cast and what an experience!! So glad I attended Curb’s panel discussion. I laughed continuously and came away loving the show even more than before, if that’s even possible.

Dolby Theatre, what's with the poor sound/synching of a/v

by Lslondre on 4/21/24Dolby Theatre - Hollywood

You asked. One of the worst things about Paley, and I love programming. As a Marketing professional if I were Dolby I'd take our name off. The sound is so poor and picture doesn’t sync with sound. A great example of dumb sponsorships and poor product benefits.
