My friend and I had an amazing time at the panel. It was great seeing the actors and creators of the show. I am going to miss that show so much! The Dolby was an amazing choice too.
I loved paleyfest last year when it was at the Saban. I did not love it this year The venue was small and it felt more intimate. The Dolby is huge and I felt less interested in what was happening. The tickets were expensive for not very good seats.
This was the worst Paleyfest event I have ever been to. First we watched a 45 minute (? - it felt much longer) documentary about the making of the movie. Which really means it was about Rob Thomas, Kickstarter and some superfans. Then half the questions the moderator asked were about the Kickstarter. Rob Thomas spoke 90% of the time, actually hijacking questions directed at cast members. And the moderator did NOTHING to ensure that each cast member had a chance to answer questions. There were 9 people on stage and if Rob Thomas did 90% of the talking, Kristin Bell probably got to speak 5% of the time, leaving the other 7 people on stage to split up the other few minutes. I'm not sure if Rico (Keith Mars) spoke an entire sentence. The cast must have felt like the night was a huge waste of their time. I can tell you that this fan definitely did not pay $50 to hear a 2.5 hour Kickstarter infomercial presented by Rob Thomas.
best night out. had so much fun watching the next episode and sad to see this series end.
From Wayne Brady as moderator to Neil Patrick Harris skyping in from NY, the How I Met Your Mother Paleyfest panel was everything a fan could have hoped for. We had so much fun, learned so much about the show and saw the genuine affection they all have for each other - creators, director and actors - after 9 years of working on the show.
This was a blast! I wish I could've attended more PaleyFest events.
We had such an enjoyable time at PaleyFest 2014 for the Veronica Mars Reunion. We had great seats and good price!
The panel was very good and interesting. Only problem was the sound was not great.
I've been a humungous fan of PaleyFest ever since I went to my first panels last year. I was a bit apprehensive since the event moved to a larger venue (Dolby Theatre), but the experience was just as wonderful! Parking is easy and cheap ($2 w/ validation) because of the Hollywood/Highland structure. Venue is just a tad larger while still maintaining an intimate atmosphere. Hands down had a wonderful time.
What a great experience. I took a friend who watches the show, but who had never been to PaleyFest. I really liked the Dolby Theater; in fact, I think I prefer it to other venues. The seats were great, and the panel discussion was fantastic. Looking forward to Sleepy Hollow.
This event had so much potential, what a wonderful space to hold the Paley Fest events. The moderator fell short in her ability to engage the audience as well as all of the cast members who spent their evening at this event. Strange seating arrangement, and having the moderator sit at one end really kept the conversation at one end, leaving the other end asking for people to repeat their answers because they literally couldn't hear. I loved the people they asked to participate and wanted to hear SO much more from them, but again, they weren't really pushed to engage in the conversation and the moderator was specifically asking questions to the three or four people sitting next to her. Another thing that was strange about the seating arrangement was it seemed the women of color were all at one end, while the white women were at the other (and were the ones closer to the moderator).
I am so happy I recently moved to LA so I was able to make this event. The cast was hilarious and Rob Thomas is a hero in my mind. My only wish was that it was more of the cast conversing instead of being directed questions.
This was such a fun event. I wish I bought tickets sooner so I could have sat closer but we still had a great view. My only complaint is that I wish the Q&A lasted longer.
I found the documentary they showed so interesting! The cast clearly likes one another and were happy to work together again. Kristen Bell and Rob Thomas have a great connection and it was a joy to watch everyone on the stage. Only Con was the new theater. I much preferred the Saban. The Dolby is too big. Nice to be able to accommodate more fans but the pricing is now about double of last year.
Loved seeing the characters in person; their chemistry was very present! I wish they would have shown more clips from the new season.
Paleyfest opened it's night with Veronica Mars. The cast was warm and lovable. I would go again in a heartbeat. Totally worth the money I spent.
PaleyFest is always a winner and never disappoints, if you like the show. In this case, Veronica Mars reunion was the best. Nice way for the fans to bid farwell to a wonderful show.
Enjoyed seeing the cast, which I got to hear more from them. Appreciated the behind the scenes fan documentary. Wish there were VM souvenirs given out.
Great event! I love the Dolby theater, only critique was that I was sitting in the 1st mezzanine and I was pretty far away, and there were still a bunch of seats on the lower level which weren't available on ticketmaster.
Seeing the cast of one of my all time favorite shows was amazing! The event ran smoothly, no complaints other than the security guards trying to rush the cast away from the fans after the show. I didn't get a single picture, some did.
