About

Knower is an electric music duo from Los Angeles, California that’s composed of multi-instrumentalists Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi. Their electronic sound combines a variety of music styles, including funk, dubstep, indie and ambient. The duo started uploading music to YouTube in 2010, with their first video being a cover of Britney Spears’ “3,” which quickly gained traction after it was promoted by Pomplamoose’s Jack Conte (co-founder and CEO of Patreon). Their debut album, Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, was released that same year. In 2011 they released Think Thoughts and soon after collaborated with Pomplamoose for the single “It Goes On.” Their third album, Let Go, was released in 2013 and was followed by a performance at Bonnaroo. Their 2014 song “Fuck the Makeup, Skip the Shower” was featured on the Flying Lotus-hosted FlyLo FM station in Grand Theft Auto V. In 2015, Knower collaborated with jazz fusion group Snarky Puppy on their album Family Dinner – Volume 2. In 2017 they opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Europe. Their fifth album, Knower Forever, was released in 2023.

    Knower Rules! Brooklyn Bowl Lacks!

by Genevieve's VP on 4/29/24Brooklyn Bowl - Brooklyn

writing a review about Knower is like writing a review of the sun. it's scorching hot, unavoidable and everyone feels the presence! There's a reason this show was sold out, because Knower Rules! The venue, Brooklyn Bowl, needs to redo their sound system. for that size of space it's weak and the vocals were very low. not enough bass oomph to make you feel the music, just a glorified stereo. sight-lines are terrible, visibility in a small space should not be difficult! raise the stage a foot and you're able to see from almost anywhere in the venue. take a tip from Brooklyn Steel, Brooklyn Bowl... they did it right, your space is outdated! again, Knower proved that they rules, and they will definitely NOT be playing BK Bowl ever again - the venue isn't up to snuff!
