About

Picture it. United States, 2024. GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE is a parody that brings Miami's sassiest seniors to stages around the country for one more hurrah. We find Sophia out on bail after being busted by the DEA for running a drug ring for retirees. Blanche and Rose have founded CreakN, a thriving sex app for seniors. And Dorothy is trying to hold it all together with help from a new (much) younger sex-crazed lover. GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE allows audiences to relive the heartfelt hilarity of the four ladies who never stopped being best friends.

GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE is a professional stage show unlike any other Golden Girls tribute that you might have experienced. The play is written by Robert Leleux, author of The Memoirs of a Beautiful Boy and The Living End. His work has also appeared in The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine and his other plays have been produced across the country. The show is directed by Eric Swanson, who was the co-founder and Executive Director of The Detroit Actors' Theatre Company. The cast includes Ryan Bernier as Dorothy, Vince Kelley as Blanche, Adam Graber as Rose, Christopher Kamm as Sophia, and Jason Bowen as Stanley/Burt. The tour is produced by Murray & Peter Present and Innovation Arts & Entertainment.

Went with my wife and another couple, hilarious from start to finish. Appreciated, the adult humor!

    Too campy for the price

by Mike on 2/29/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Thought was way too campy for the price. Not that the show was bad, but not worth $125/person.

    Spot On

    by Danigirl on 2/29/24

Wow, I went knowing I was going to laugh, but this cast was something else. the voices and mannerisms were on point. I didn't expect a real adult play, but it was hilariously funny and enjoyable.

    Mixed Bag

by Mary on 2/27/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The actors did a fantastic job recreating the voices and mannerisms of the original cast! It was also great how they interacted with the audience. That said, the script was unnecessarily raunchy and over sexual.

    Still Smiling

by Rave Reviewer on 2/27/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The show was fantastic, the ladies knew how to make a 4th wall disappear and bring the audience into the action. The details of the original show were honored in the performance - and lots of love went into the cast and crew acting. Thank you for such a wonderful night with my high school bestie...we loved it.

    Funny

by JA on 2/27/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The show was funny and I enjoyed the twist created to the television program. Each actor was spot on with voice and mannerisms of the original television cast. If you age a Golden Girls Fan, you must see the alternate version on stage.

    Laughs really continued

by Bill on 2/27/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Absolutely one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. The four "ladies"had the look, walk and talk down perfectly. Setting was right out of the TV show. All were great, but Sophia was by far the most realistic. I'd swear she was the real thing. I lost some of the jokes due to audience laughing so loud, but that was fine. Great afternoon. Good location also, stayed at the Drake and it was a short walk for me.
