Fun Concert Schedule and Tour

fun.'s chart-topping indie pop anthem "We Are Young" was everywhere in 2012, earning the band overnight success and one of music's highest honors: Best New Artist at the 2013 Grammy Awards. The song took home the Grammy for Song of the Year, and, along with anthemic hits like "Carry On" and "Some Nights," propelled the band's 2012 sophomore album Some Nights to the No. 1 position on both the Rock and Alternative Albums charts. Lead singer Nate Ruess formed fun. in 2008 following the breakup of his band The Format, teaming up with Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost to write and record the band's demos. The trio's first single "At Least I'm Not as Sad As I Used to Be" came out in April 2009, quickly followed by the release of their debut album Aim and Ignite, which received praise for its progressive and theatrical pop sound. After opening for Paramore on their 2010 tour, fun. headlined their own U.K. concert tour before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. The result, 2012's Some Nights, peaked at No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200, garnering critical praise and spawning platinum-selling smash singles "We Are Young" and the album's title track. On tour in 2013 with Tegan and Sara, the band treated ticket buyers to energetic live concerts of both old and new material, building anticipation for the release of their third studio album in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Anyone on the fence about seeing these guys should jump off now. They are worth every penny and then some. Absolutely amazing to see that they can sound as good in person as they do in the studio. I will see them again as soon as they decide to return.”

“This was one of the best concerts I've been to, my teenage daughters and I really enjoyed it.”

“Fun was amazing !! Nate has a million dollar smile that lights up the theather and a voice that's a gift from god ! Great night! great band! Worth the ticket price!!”

    Fun. was simply fun!!!

by Ellis44 on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

I had been looking forward to this concert ever since I saw all the ads. A friend ended up winning tickets so that worked out. The original date was cancelled because of a tropical storm and reschedule a few weeks later. When Fun. came on, I was so excited!! I've listened to their album for months! They sounded better live than on the album. I believe they played the whole album. It was a fun and exciting show. The band themselves were super enthusiastic because it was their last show of the 2 year your. I danced the whole night and screamed all the lyrics. They put on a great show. They jumped all around and really get the crowd going. It was simply Fun. Ps. A plus was that their merchandise really wasn't that expensive. They had a lot to chose from.

Fun. was one of the best concerts I've seen!!

by JLRG on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

Nate is either naturally the most hyper person alive, or one of the most amazing stage performers out there! He was a one man show on his own. Everyone got a chance to see him as he was all over the stage, but vocals were on point!! Andrew was awesome! He is so versatile and rolled with the punches, even adding a little comedy to his tunes when Nate apparently forgot the lyrics to a song (which they made into quite a shtick). Jack made sure to keep the crowd going at all times, even when vocals weren't present, and appeared to be lost in his own love of the music. It was by far one of the best concerts I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot). There was never a dull moment, the audience was extremely diverse, the open air concert still sounded just as awesome as an arena, and my friends and I are still exchanging pics and videos and talking about it days later!! I hope to see them again!!!

    Fun was awesome!

by Classikgrrrl on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

Fun put on an amazing show. They were full of energy yet brought the crowd to beautiful, emotional places at times. The singer added elements of comedy too and interacted with the crowd, which I enjoyed. And it goes without saying, his voice is phenominal. The lighting was neat and I loved it when they made it snow (as it appeared) with confetti covering New Orleans. It was a great time. My husband even enjoyed it and he is not a fan (but he might be now lol!!!)

    Amazingly Fun. :)

by HEKM on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

This band is one of the few that sounds great live. Even though we were their last stop this tour, their energy was high and they seemed truly excited to be there. When they weren't singing, they were still entertaining and kept the crowd's spirits up the whole night. The two opening bands (Rosco Bandana and Hunter Hunted) were both amazing as well. I immediately wanted to download everything Rosco Bandana has ever made. Theyre that good AND both bands had no problem walking through/hanging out with the crowd after they performed. I can't say the same for Fun. but they probably didn't want to get mobbed by the hoards of screaming 13 year old girls. Lol All-in-all it was great.. especially when lyrics were forgotten and bananas were sung with.

    fun. not just for kids.

by jlindq on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

Took my 13-year old to see this show. My expectations were low - an outdoor venue, expecting to stand the whole time, a bunch of tweens. The venue was much better than I expected - there was more than enough room for everyone to move about comfortably. If you wanted to sit, you could sit on the superdome steps (but if you wanted to be close you had to stand). Bathrooms were clean and no lines. And best of all there were food & liquor vendors! Two opening acts for the show - both very good and rocking. fun. was much more entertaining than I'd expected. Sound & lights were great, and the band was engaging, played songs you expected to hear, and the show was just the right length since we were all standing. Still lots of tweens and teens, but all ages were represented. Surpassed my expectations.

by CarryonCarryon on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

The energy of this show was incredible. The musicians were on top of their game.....and even if you didn't know anything they sang you had to come away from this having a terrific experience. Obviously these guy love performing live and really play to the crowd. Seriously I could attend a fun. show everyday for a year and still come back for more.

    fun. was a FUN time!

by steeltraingirl on 10/27/13Champions Square - New Orleans

Everyone in Champion Square was having a FUN time Thursday night at the Fun. concert. Great last show of the most nights tour. Opening bands were good too. I enjoyed Rosco Bandana. Hunter Hunted was amazing and they did a great job getting everyone revved up for Fun. They were so good I bought there cd and got pics and autographs. Fun. came out and played and did not dissapoint. Everyone was singing along and we all had a great time. Jack jamming on his guitar, a surprise performance with rebirth brass band, and Nate forgetting the words to The Gambler while Andrew and Jack laugh at him were just a few of the highlights. The sound was nice. I like that I was able to hear them all but not have my ears blasted off. Nate said they're going to be making their next album. (Note: Can't remember the exact order of the songs but in the setlist I will put which ones they played.

by ladygothic on 10/20/13Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - Alpharetta

The venue was great, the best security and helpful venue staff I have yet seen at at any Atlanta venue.Food, drink and bathroom facilities so easy found... security will help you find. I had mosh pit tickets and was amazed even though arriving late, plenty of room. I do loved it being an all ages concent. Teen age girls in front of me taking pics and grabbing confetti <3 Fun. was excellent, I sang and danced my ass off with my spouse! Couples of all ages, genders, welcome and the arena was excellent! Sight lines were all great. Music was excellent, the band gave a stellar performance and the opening act Hunter Hunted I would go see of them being the main act.
