Fun Concert Schedule and Tour
fun.'s chart-topping indie pop anthem "We Are Young" was everywhere in 2012, earning the band overnight success and one of music's highest honors: Best New Artist at the 2013 Grammy Awards. The song took home the Grammy for Song of the Year, and, along with anthemic hits like "Carry On" and "Some Nights," propelled the band's 2012 sophomore album Some Nights to the No. 1 position on both the Rock and Alternative Albums charts. Lead singer Nate Ruess formed fun. in 2008 following the breakup of his band The Format, teaming up with Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost to write and record the band's demos. The trio's first single "At Least I'm Not as Sad As I Used to Be" came out in April 2009, quickly followed by the release of their debut album Aim and Ignite, which received praise for its progressive and theatrical pop sound. After opening for Paramore on their 2010 tour, fun. headlined their own U.K. concert tour before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. The result, 2012's Some Nights, peaked at No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200, garnering critical praise and spawning platinum-selling smash singles "We Are Young" and the album's title track. On tour in 2013 with Tegan and Sara, the band treated ticket buyers to energetic live concerts of both old and new material, building anticipation for the release of their third studio album in 2014.

FUN. was fun plain and simple! They are definitely one of those bands that give you your money's worth in concert. Nate's voice is amazing and sounds just as good in person as he does on CD. The performance was high energy. They play to the crowd and I loved the confetti snow angle. The two bands opening up for them Roscoe Bandana and Hunter Hunted were also good. They definitely helped get he party started.
Wow! I drove several hours to catch this show. Thought I'd left in plenty of time to get to Berkeley in time to grab good seats. Got stuck parking far from the venue, so my daughter and I walked in right before the show started. Man, was I shocked to see that every seat was filled all the way up to the itty bitty pieces of lawn at the top! We took our seats, and usually being down somewhere in the front, I just had to accept our nosebleed seats and go with the flow. What a show! So much energy and perfect sound and fantastic guitar jamming and that voice!!! Oh, that voice....I am a big fan of that voice! Nate was so entertaining and personable....my daughter remarked that he sincerely seemed that he wanted to give each and every person in that venue a good show -- and I have to agree with that. He was so personable and his words so heartfelt and his singing so powerfully beautiful and refreshing...I think this is the closest I'll ever get to imagining a live performance by Freddy Mercury...
Absolutely Awesome! FUN. was incredible and even the 2 opening bands were great! Nate is a terrific entertainer and has great time on stage. We sang along and danced thru the whole show! Can't wait to see them again!
Love the venue, even though it was on a Thursday so it sucked going to work the next day :) Suffered through Tegan and Sara but it was so worth it for fun.!

The band was great! They put on a great show. It was a beautiful cool night. We had never been to Verizon before. It was a great venue!
What a perfect evening for FUN! The Verizon Amphitheater is a great concert venue. We couldn't have asked for more perfect evening to experience the FUN performance. NATE Reuss is an incredibly talented performer and never slowed down the entire show. His vocal ability is amazing and the band just seemed to enjoy themselves entertaining the audience which varied in age. It is a show that I would highly recommend, but only after you 'ved listened and learned their music. Its much more fun to be able to sing along. There was great audience participation on their three more recognizable hits, "carry on", "we are young" & "some nights". The light show was pretty cool too!

Other than an Elton John concert I won tickets to, this was my first concert and I really wasn't sure what to expect. I left wishing I could go to more even more concerts because I had a blast. The show started with two openers. The first was Rosco Bandana who was good but plagued with a few problems. One of their microphones wasn't working, so when one of them was singing I didn't hear anything but the instruments. When they first went on stage, the leader singer introduced themselves but I couldn't make out what he was saying. I only learned the band's name when they were packing their things and I saw their name on a sticker on one of their cases. The technical issues were fixed before the second band, Hunter Hunted, took the stage. I preferred their performance as they were more interactive with the audience and had better lighting. The lead singer successfully managed to get us to sing along with one of his songs. Fun was absolutely great. I was pretty close to the stage, so I managed to get a few wonderful pictures before my digital camera's battery died! Pretty much the entire audience knew every word and were singing along. My main complaint was that the audience was too loud! LOL When Nate started announcing that it was time for the show, many people in the audience tried to talk him out of leaving. He, Andrew, and Jack were all great. After Fun left, the two opening bands were at the entrance signing autographs and taking pictures. Both bands were very nice and I wish them both success.

I have been to about 20 great concerts but none of them compared to the Fun. show! It was the most amazing concert I think I will ever see! I was 20 feet from the stage and the sound was awesome!
Good show at Verizon amphitheater. Great voice...you can tell the guys love what they are doing.
I hadn't bought their CD, so only knew a handful of songs, unlike the majority of the audience that seemed to sing along with every song. Great fall night for the event. They brought great energy, and mentioned that this was the last stop on this tour.
What a great show! Perfect weather for a fall outdoor show! Great crowd & the band WAS AMAZING! I'll definitely be seeing them again next time they come to town! Thanks for putting on a great show, cheers!

I went to the Fun. Concert at the Verizon Ampitheater. The concert venue was extremely clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The band put on an incredible show. It was an amazing night!
