Utterly disappointing and forgettable storyline (and score). Supposed to be about women’s empowerment but the show ultimately completely undermines this ideal. Actors do the best they can with what they are given. Choreography and costumes are great but can’t make up for weak characterization and plot. Cute cartoon effects. Skip this unless major revisions are made before New York.
These tickets were purchased as a Christmas gift for my family members and honestly I did not know much about this show or what to expect since I did not know anyone who has seen it before but purchased the tickets based on the reviews I read and it did not disappoint. This show was remarkable from the storyline, stage setting, costumes, dancing, signing, and the overall amazing performance by all the characters involved. My mother, father, uncle, and myself of course had a blast. We loved all aspects of this show. It was cute, funny, touching, insightful, and thrilling. Just some of the words to describe it. Very well done! I will most definitely attend again when they are in Chicago with some girl friends of mine. I have been telling all my friends and colleagues about this show and my experience. Bravo to all involved in and with this show performance!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! An inspiring story of a woman finding who she is and finding her voice
This was an excellent show, great music, outstanding individuals and an excellent ensemble. My only complaint would be that the seats in the CIBC Theater (Chicago) were narrow and uncomfortable. The theater was also very warm and stuffy. This has nothing to do with the show, however.
"Boop"was a wonderful musical that was both uplifting and energetic! The music, choreography, costumes, and scenery were all fantastic as were all of the main characters! Great acting, performing, and sending a positive message of being your true self. I loved how the original Betty Boop cartoon was incorporated into the story and how it went from black and white to color. So creative and fun!!!

What an amazing show! The voices. The staging. Everything about this show was on point. And the Chicago audience was here for it. My 11 y.o. is still RAVING about it
Loved all the costumes. The singing and tap dancing was fantastic.
The first opening act is so powerful, that immediately you know it's going to be a great show.
I bought a ticket to see the show on Christmas Eve and it was an excellent choice, I loved all The color the songs and the performance that Betty boop had to offer.
