Kansas City Chiefs History
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded as the Dallas Texans in 1959 by businessman, sports pioneer and American Football League founder Lamar Hunt. The team moved to Kansas City before the 1963 season and were renamed the Chiefs. The team found success early on, winning three AFL championships in the 1960s to become the team with the most championships in the AFL. In 1970, the club joined the NFL when it merged with the AFL. That year, the team won its first AFL-NFL championship in Super Bowl IV against the Minnesota Vikings, beating them 23-7.
The Chiefs have had 25 individuals inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and have produced five Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award winners — tied with the Chicago Bears for the most of any team.
Head Coach Andy Reid joined the team in 2013, and under his leadership, the Chiefs have made the playoffs consistently. The club won the AFC West from 2016 to 2022 and clinched championship titles at Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Super Bowl LVII in 2023 and Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.

Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
Opened in 1972, GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium has a capacity of 76,416. As one of the first stadiums developed after the AFL merged with the NFL, Arrowhead was a leader in stadium design. It introduced the use of arrows on the yard markers at the goal line (eventually becoming a requirement in the NFL), and was the first to be a part of the two-stadium Truman Sports Complex.
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is also known to be one of the loudest stadiums in the league. In 2014, fans set a Guinness World Record for stadium noise, registering a sound of 142.2 decibels during a game against the New England Patriots.

Couldn't watch the game as I'm not allowed to go to a game. I have to stay home and take care of the children.
Traveled from IL to attend a Chiefs game. As an infrequent user of Tickemaster, I appreciated the opportunity to purchase insurance on my tickets I bought months in advance. I was also thanful for the reminders sent my way as it closer to game day. Overall, a user friendly experience.
Was a very fun time but the weather was beyond cold. Main disappointment was that tickets were going so much cheaper than what we paid, because of the weather. Otherwise, we had great seats and the mobile ticket process is easy as can be.
I really enjoyed seeing the game and seeing Patrick Mahomes everyone there wasn't really there to see the chiefs they mostly were there to see Taylor Swift but I wasn't I enjoyed seeing the chiefs play 🏈🏈😁😁
GO CHIEFS, beautiful stadium, amazing and lovable people, great overall experience
Game was great! There were WAY too many drunk people there slinging beer all over my family and I. No crowd control whatsoever, people were continually allowed to purchase alcohol no matter how intoxicated they were already!
From the tail gaiting to the actual event every seat is a great one and fan base is amazing!
I’ve been a Chief’s fan for over 30 years and I finally made it to a game! I loved the stadium, the fans and the tailgating. The only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been for us to pull out the win. Can’t wait to go back!
Arrowhead stadium is electrifying. Too bad the Chiefs didn't get the energy to secure a WIN against Buffalo. Offense continues to struggle with penalties, catching balls, turn overs and lack of points. The Defense is really strong this year but allowing too many points in the 1st quarter. Chiefs must return to greatness!!! The must get focused on playing football and taking care of the small things. Stop making mistakes and greatness can happen. Let's go boys!!!
i went to the chiefs game and i was super excited to see taylor only to find out she wasn’t there:(
