Indiana Pacers History
The Pacers have a long history that goes back to 1967, when they were a member of the American Basketball Association. They dominated that league, making the ABA Finals five times in seven years and winning three championships. They joined the NBA in 1976, when the two leagues merged.
The Pacers initially struggled in the new league, qualifying for the playoffs just twice in the first 13 NBA seasons. But things began to turn around after they selected Reggie Miller with the No. 11 overall pick in the 1987 draft. Miller led the Pacers to the playoffs in his third season, which became a trend. They made the playoffs in 16 out of the next 17 seasons, nearly spanning Miller's entire Hall of Fame career, all of which he spent in Indiana.
The Pacers were not able to win a championship in that span, though they did advance to the NBA Finals in the 1999–2000 season. They lost in the finals in six games to the Los Angeles Lakers. After a rebuilding period through the late aughts, the team advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2013 and 2014 led by All-Star small forward Paul George, though they fell to Miami’s “Big Three” in back-to-back match-ups.

Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
The Pacers moved into their current arena in 1999, when it was known as Conseco Fieldhouse. It has been called Gainbridge Fieldhouse since 2021 (after previously being called Bankers Life Fieldhouse from 2011 to 2021), and it's one of the few arenas in North America specifically designed to accommodate basketball. The Pacers share the arena with one other professional team, the Indiana Fever of the WNBA.

First time I’ve been to a Pacers game. The Fieldhouse was fantastic Great atmosphere great game Pacers One couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas gift. And the seats throw up great seats for first game..
Tickets were easily accessible through the Wallet app. The game was exciting and the Pacers came out winners! I will see our home team again, of course, through Ticketmaster.
It was a fun time. Everybody was having fun until the Celtics started going ahead. The Pacers fans started leaving because they didn't think the Pacers would come back. They didn't ! I'm a Celtics Fan ! The Celtics won that night !
Boomer and his team are spectacular. The guests at halftime are impressionate. And for sure, thé match is excited
Seats were one step away to the right of the drum section. Should have been disclosed and at a minimum have a sound barrier or provided with ear plugs for taking one for the team sitting next to them. They played every single time the opposing team (Celtics) had the ball. The percussionist who played the loudest ear piercing Toms, had earplugs in while he was playing. If too loud for him, probably too loud for those sitting right next to the drums he was playing. And before responses to my criticism met with a “Suck it Up”, I have played drums since I was 12 years old. I can handle a little noise now and then.
Everything was good until we were about to sit down. My husband is 6’5” and I’m 5’8”. There was this bar that ran across the glass pane that was in front of our seats. We couldn’t sit straight. We had to sit sideways with our feet on the stairs. Honestly not sure why the glass is so close to those seats, because it was enough room to move it a couple inches forward. I hope we never choose those seats again. Very uncomfortable.
It was a shame they lost the game but we had a fun time for my husband’s 74th birthday!!! The loaded fries from Crossroads Eats were quite tasty and PLENTY for the two of us!!!
The game was awesome but I purchased tickets for my family for Christmas to a Family Night Game that advertised free hat and food at Game. When we went to get our hats we were informed that they were only for Upgraded tickets. My grandsons were very disappointed. I felt bad nothing told me I had to Upgrade
Loved the game. Seats were ok for price. Wish Faith and Family concert after game was not scheduled on night game. It was late for the younger kiddos.
The pacers are fun to watch! Everyone was friendly and our kids (ages 3 and 7) loved the experience! Our son was on the edge of his seat watching. We all had a great time and hope to be back for another game!
We had a great time at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Pacers Family Night. Parking was convenient, entering the fieldhouse was easy, and all of the evenings activities were well marked, well staffed, and well organized. The vouchers for our family night meal package were easy to retrieve and redeem, and perfect for a quick dinner before the game started. We will be back for another family night for sure!
We gave our grandson Pacers tickets for Christmas. We purchased the family night tickets. Their seats were good, the game was great, they all got a free hat, scarf, hot dog, chips and drink! After the game the kids got to go down and shoot a free throw. Over all it was a great night and something they would definitely like to do again. Thank you for making this an affordable event!!!
We came to see my husband favorite nba team indiana Pacers We love everything ❤️
Our family had an amazing time. Entertainment was phenomenal, game was just outstanding!! We have tickets for the January 23rd game, and we can't wait!!
Was in town for the Raiders-Colts game with my daughter and our hotel was across the street from Gainbridge Fieldhouse and we never been to a Pro basketball game so went and really had a good time, would go again if in town.
A great game and the Pacers organization goes beyond excellence to make for a great game experience. Sadly, the entry process/procedure was way backed up and took an unusually long time for folks to get into the fieldhouse.
Ordered our tickets and parking pass through ticket master. Loved our seats as they were in a great section and good view of the game. Parking was just a short walk to the arena. Will definitely order again through ticket master when we need tix for a game. The only thing I don't care for is the handling charge for each ticket. Seems to increase more all the time adding more to the price of a ticket.
We love the pacers!!!! Such a fun family experience!!!!! Highly recommend
Plenty of close parking options. Great police presence. Beautiful venue. Great concessions. Very family oriented, really great fans. Great evening for my grandson and me.
