About

Considering the astonishing gifts he has already given us through his music, do we even have the right to expect any more from Stevie Wonder? Maybe, maybe not, but the truth is the artist whose first No. 1 hit came five decades ago with "Fingertips" is in the midst of a creative explosion akin with his greatest years in the 1970's. For his first studio recordings in eight years, Wonder, the rare touring act who can be called genius without qualification, has produced not one but two records, both as distinct in their origin as they are in their intention. To fulfill a promise made to his mother who passed away in 2006, Wonder is making he first foray into gospel music; he's also making an additional record that reflects not only his growing interest in hip-hop but also personal heartbreak stemming from among other things his recent divorce.

But none of this should indicate that the Motown legend is turning his back on his monumental legacy. The owner of over 50 top 40 singles has recently taken to thrilling ticket buyers by playing the entirety of his 1976 diamond selling classic Songs in the Key of Life live in concert. It is a rare that in our lifetime a legend of Stevie Wonder's stature could find equal inspiration reaching into the future as well as the past. It is rarer still that he is able to share his joyous visions in all their power with anyone fortunate enough to catch this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer on tour.

    Unlike any other concert...Amazing!!!

by GQtheman on 9/1/18The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

From the beginning the DJ had the crowd going before Stevie came on stage. Stevie Wonder’s tribute to Aretha was on point. You could feel his love and passion in his voice and songs. A very memorable night.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED

by tinhead1 on 9/1/18The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

He still sounds good but He didn't sing enough. He had some DJ for the first hour and it was too long. I didn't pay to hear other peoples songs. He had 3 women and 1 male sing more than he did. He drank a lot of water and talked too much. He had the fans singing way too much. That was not a Stevie show because he only sang about 20% of the time. He acted liked there was something not quite there. If you want to see and take pictures of him then go to the show. If you want to hear him sing then get your music player out. First and last time going to his shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stevie never disappoints. He gave an awesome performance, shared his consistent message of love and left me in tears. His back up singers and band members are amazing. He truly is the 8th Wonder of the world.

    Let’s make love great again.

by enduro3478 on 9/1/18The Theater at MGM National Harbor - National Harbor

Once the show got going it was great. He played for 2-1/2 hours and all but the first 2-3 songs were banging. No encore though. I took back one star because the show stared an hour late. Good thing there was a DJ. He kept looking to see if they were ready for 45 minutes.

    Love Stevie—sound was poor

by LVHurricane on 8/24/18Park Theater - Las Vegas

Greatest musical artist of my life. Monstrosity of dj booth was ridiculous. Couldn’t see back-up singers. Though my seats were good, I expected Stevie to perform from center stage: unfortunately he was far right, I was far left. Very disappointed with sound: Stevie often drowned out by orchestra; sound was way too balanced. Poor sound checking by his handlers. Extremely disappointed concert was only 90 minutes with no encore. I understand his age, but my son saw him at TMobile—2 hours. A friend saw him some years ago-3 hours. At a cost of $600.00 for two tickets, Surely you understand my disappointment.

    Stevie Wonder was exceptional

by Markymark101 on 8/22/18Park Theater - Las Vegas

My wife and I go to a lot of shows/concerts, and this was by far one of the best we have ever seen, Stevie Wonder was awesome and on for over 2 hours. His DJ who is on beforehand was also fantastic, he got the crowd more than just warmed up before the main show, he interacted with the audience and have everyone laughing and dancing in the aisles. Totally fantastic night.

    Stevie always delivers

by AGT2014 on 8/19/18Park Theater - Las Vegas

I've seen Stevie Wonder many times and he never disappoints. The Park Theater is a great venue with very pleasant staff greeting and seating you and serving you at the bar. The seats are comfortable and there is adequate legroom. We were seated in Section 205. You couldn't see all the stage but the video monitors are huge with one right next to us. The DJ is a new addition (in all other shows, Stevie just comes out and starts the show) and, for some reason, Stevie didn't come onstage for almost 40 minutes. The DJ was entertaining but I wanted Stevie Wonder. Once he came onstage, he was in full performance mode. We were given a plastic wristband when we passed through security. When the show began, all the bands lighted up! It was amazing to see the pulsating lights. Sometimes, the colors were uniform (purple, clear, green) and sometimes they were different on each wearer. They all went red. They all went off. It was something special. And the show, like always expected from Stevie Wonder, was just as special.
