About

Rod Stewart in Concert

With his 1978 No. 1 single, Rod Stewart famously asked the world "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" 100 million record sales later, it's safe to say the world answered "Yes." As one of the top-selling artists of all time, with a career spanning four decades, the British singer-songwriter is one of the most celebrated figures in rock and roll history. The times may have changed, but Stewart's appeal hasn't - with his 28th studio album, 2013's Time, the raspy crooner once again topped the UK Albums Chart - the first time he'd done so since the release of his Greatest Hits Volume 1 in 1979. Stewart got his start as a solo artists in the early '70s, achieving his first mainstream success with blues rock hit "Maggie May" from 1971's Every Picture Tells a Story. In the late '70s and early '80s, the singer would adopt disco and new wave influences to much success, including the 1978 No. 1 Blondes Have More Fun and 1981's Tonight I'm Yours, which featured the hit "Young Turks." On tour, Stewart treats ticket buyers to rollicking sets of his greatest hits, proving that "Rod the Mod" still knows how to give one heck of a live concert.

    Rod Stewert was great

by Cass on 3/11/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

I thought the event was amazing and had zero complaints until I walked outside and saw everybody’s umbrellas thrown out in a puddle of mud. This had to be done by the event. I felt they could’ve placed the umbrellas under the tents they had outside that were out of the direct traffic of the doors.

    YOU GO ROD!! Great Show!!!

by Fitnessfan on 2/26/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

I have seen Sir Rod 2 times before this show and It has been probably 35+ years since I last saw him in concert. I wasn't sure what to expect when I read the reviews, but I really enjoyed the show and thought it was super entertaining! His band and singers were awesome and with no opening band, he did take a few breaks during the show which gave his band a time to perform. The band and musicians, including an awesome Saxophone player were so entertaining, I didn't mind. Rod moved around and did a little dancing and few kicks! He just has so much carisma and is such a great performer! I didn't mind him singing other hit songs that were not his. He did perform several of his hits, which had the almost 'sold out' crowd singing along! Different to reviews I read, He introduced the band, and although no oncore, he did thank the crowd and was very gracious. The show was almost 2 hours ! Overall I thought it was fantastic..it definately had a Las Vegas feel, but we had a great time.. The man is 79 and looked great and I AM SO GLAD I got to see him one last time! A long time fan!!

There’s a reason he’s a legend. Still has his voice and a great showman. Hope he has a few more tours left in him.

    Great show-lousy venue

by Susie on 2/25/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

The music of Rod Stewart never disappoints. I’ve been a fan for 40+ years. I love to dance and sing. The show was different but the talent of Rod Stewart and his band was amazing. He is still doing the same moves he did in the ‘80s. The venue was not great. Daily’s Place in Jacksonville was in disrepair and it was leaking rain water into the venue. I wasn’t able to sit in my seat, due to water dripping down on me. My friend and I had to travel around the venue looking for an empty seat. This was difficult because the concert was sold out. Guest Relations gave me a poncho and said that they couldn’t do anything else. The music was amazing, but the experience was less than enjoyable because of the leaking venue.

Saw Rod Stewart at Hard Rock-Tampa

by Al on 2/22/24Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center - Tampa

Venue size was great-but projected image of him performing was not in sink with his actual singing-and acoustics were not grit-hard to pick up lyrics..and although he was energetic and posed for selfies while performing, at the end after he sang his as it turned out, last song, he danced off the stage, not to come back for applause or an encore. Left us all flat.

    Great Show

by ScottyA on 2/21/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Fun set list. At 79, Rod's performance was as expected: Full of energy even if a little slowed by age. A few breaks while the back-up singers did a couple of tunes. Could have run a bit longer than 1:45 or so.

    He’s 79?

by Gravedigger on 2/21/24Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Glad I went to see him, but was disappointed in his set selection. I was hoping for more of his early catalog. He did Maggie Mae, but I would’ve liked some deeper cut from that album and from Gasoline Alley and from the Faces. Oh well. Our 80-year-old president can’t even make it up the stairs, and this guy at 79 was prancing all over the stage not to mention he had three or four wardrobe changes within the night. And his band and backup singers were excellent.
