Amazing!

Dashboard Confessional on Tour
Expect robust crowd participation when seeing Dashboard Confessional, a band that sonically splits the difference between R.E.M.-like jangle-rock and moodier emo-pop. The group favors cathartic songwriting full of deep, meaningful lyrics, ensuring that beloved singles such as "Screaming Infidelities" and "Vindicated" draw loud audience sing-alongs.
Early in their career, Dashboard Confessional toured with like-minded peers Weezer and Brand New, while in 2007 they went on the Rock Band Live Tour with Panic! at the Disco. In recent years, Dashboard Confessional have toured with Third Eye Blind and, in 2020, launched a 20th anniversary tour celebrating their vast catalog.
Dashboard Confessional in Concert
Chris Carrabba initially started Dashboard Confessional as a solo acoustic project when he was still fronting another band, the Florida-based emo rock act Further Seems Forever. When the vocalist/guitarist/songwriter left that group to focus on his own music, he quickly issued the second Dashboard Confessional album, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, in 2001. That album went gold and contained the song "Screaming Infidelities," which became a Top 25 alternative radio chart hit and spawned a music video that won the MTV2 award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
From there, Dashboard Confessional was off and running. Album number three, 2003's gold-certified A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 and spawned the hit "Hands Down." The song "Vindicated" featured prominently in the 2004 film Spider-Man 2 and reached No. 2 on the modern rock charts. Carrabba and crew continued on a hot streak with another gold album (2006's Dusk and Summer, which also topped the U.S. Top Rock Albums chart) and more studio work. Dashboard Confessional released the studio album Crooked Shadows in 2018 and celebrated their 20th anniversary by releasing a greatest hits album, The Best Ones of the Best Ones, in 2020.

Excellent venue and 3 great bands. Dashboard Confessional was a great wy to end the evening
If you have a chance to see one of your favorite musicians at the ICON do not hesitate to get tickets. Everything about the venue is perfect. Andrew McMahon and dashboard did not disappoint!
Andrew McMahon was absolutely incredible! Perfect setlist. Dashboard was great too. Highly recommend!
This was my absolute dream tour. Andrew McMahon (jacks mannequin, something corporate) and Dashboard confessional (Chris carrabba) are my all time favorites and I’ve been dreaming of this pairing for over a decade! I went to both the Cincinnati and Columbus shows and I can’t say enough about what a great time it was. It sucks that covid is still crazy high and we definitely may have contracted it there but the concert was too good to be true!
This was the best concert I've ever been to! The performers were over the top impressive! The venue was very clean and the staff were all friendly.
Dashboard Confessional brought me back in time, with their music. Their performance was just as good (if not better) than it was 20 years ago. There was a medical emergency in the audience and Chris handled it like a class act. They care about the audience experience and you can tell. Love these guys!
Dashboard may be required to play all my favorite songs for the last 20 years but they always do it with enthusiasm. I appreciate always getting the best from the best. I will be a fan for life
Not knowing anything about the bands going in, it made for an interesting night. A buddy of mine was out of town, so he transferred the tix to me to use. Bill said, Dashboard Confessional with Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Doors at 530, got there at 6. A band just started moments after we arrive. Says Armor for Sleep on curtain behind stage. Next band comes out and were transcendently good. This guy was playing piano and singing his ass off. Great stage presence and working the crowd having the time of his life. We thought it was the headliner it was so incredible. We thought this Andrew cat already played before the other band and we missed it. Andrew (who we thought was DC) gets done and we think the show is over, but no one is leaving. We ask someone and they set us straight. DC takes the stage at 930ish on a Sunday, we stay for 5 songs and left cuz we have to work in the morning and we’re super tired. DC was fine for what we saw, but Andrew’s band was incredible. I love a good surprise, even if it makes me look ignorant and silly.
It was my first time at the venue and I must say they went above and beyond meeting my expectations. The handicap parking was in a great spot and easy to get inside the venue. Once inside there was a ramp to the main venue area. The restrooms were 100% accessible and I called ahead and was given a table with great seating at no additional charge. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be going back to see other bands in the future!!
They were so good! I had an amazing time. The only thing was that, it was so short. I think they played for like an hour. I wish it had been longer.
Loved how this CT native engaged and uplifted the audience with beautiful music and sincerity.
This was the best concert i have ever been to. I wish people sat but this was not a concert where you sit
Very clean venue, easy to get to, and Dashboard Confessional was fantastic.
XL Live was a great place to see a show. Effecient method of check in and relaxed atmosphere once you're inside. Was extra special to see Dashboard here with no opener.
Dashboard is literally always amazing, so no surprise there. It was so great to see Chris back on stage again after his accident. The venue was clean with ample parking and just a pleasant environment - would absolutely return!
I traveled from Pennsylvania to Nashville, TN to see Dashboard Confessional play at the historic Ryman Auditorium! It was such a great experience to be able to sit in an auditorium so rich in history. Dashboard Confessional performed an awesome show as usually. It was great to be in a such an intimate setting and hear their songs unplugged. You could tell that Chris and the band was truly excited to be there and appreciated every moment of the show. The fans were singing along to every song and were glad to be there as well. I appreciated the safety measures that the artists and venue implemented (negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination) to make sure everyone was cared for and risk was minimized. Overall, this was a great experience and I'm glad that I was able to see such a great band in such a great venue!!!
The Ryman was the perfect venue. DC played all of the hits. Chris was in great voice. One of the best shows I’ve been to in Nashville.
We sat for over an hour and a half listening to horrible, depressing “opening acts”. I don’t actually think calling them opening acts is appropriate. The first was just a member of the main act playing acoustic depressing songs. The second was another guy playing acoustic guitar singing ridiculous lyrics that seemed like the ramblings of a disturbed 8 year old. By the time the main act came on the stage we were tired, depressed, and so uninspired, that we could hardly appreciate the show. We left after five songs from dashboard confessionals. It was sad because the venue is so beautiful and the acoustics are incredible. Too bad it was wasted on these artists.
This was my first time at The Ryman and can I just say my ears were in heaven! By far the best sounding concert I’ve ever been to! Then to top it off Dashboard just killed it! I haven’t seen them live in about 18 years and you could just tell how happy Chris was to be performing. Truly loved every minute! The openers were really great as well! Keep on rockin on!🤟🏻
