The singing and especially the dancing was amazing. Great show
You certainly have to be a fan of ballet to enjoy this show . The plot is pretty basic . Two guys who fall in love with the same girl who is engaged to another .
The music-of course, the staging- really great. The whole evening's experience was wonderful. Great talent! I saw this in NYC a few years ago and this was even better. Loved it!

The show is amazing. Entertaining, beautiful and lovely. I wish they come back to Chicago again, because I'd love to go one more time!

We loved it! Good job on scene changes. A beautiful venue.
Great music, amazing dancers, impressive decors and costumes, everything was perfect. An American in Paris is a must see once in a lifetime!
The production was amazing. The choreography and vocals were outstanding. The costumes and sets stood out.
If you love the sound of Gershwin tunes and can appreciate dance, this play is the choice for you...To say that it has ballet in it might scare some guys off but this ballet is graceful, modern, and athletic. My husband and I loved it.
Living in New Jersey and seeing plays on Broadway in NYC I was a little skeptical about seeing a play from Broadway done somewhere else. But very much to my surprise the play was amazing, I felt like I was in NYC watching a Broadway play! The cast was fantastic, the music wonderful & it was a fabulous evening. When back in Chicago again I will not hesitate to see another play!
First time to the Oriental Theatre which is a beautiful building, very ornate, spacious yet intimate setting, seats were very comfortable. The play was great. Orchestra was amazing, acoustics were perfect. The cast was very energetic and lively. Wonderful performance, extremely enjoyable evening. Staff at the Oriental Theatre very friendly and professional.
Lots of singing and dancing. Love the many changes of scenery and costumes. My friend and I enjoyed everything we
Broadway in Chicago has done an amazing job with the production of An American in Paris. The story-line is interesting, the dancing is superb, the stage settings are awesome and the music great.
The first act was boring. The lead male singer was very weak and his love for Lise was not believable. The staging and lighting were well done in an interesting way of combining tech with movable panels. I am sorry to admit that we left after the first sleepy act.
The seats were great. The performance was wonderful. Everyone in the musical was amazing. I loved the music of Gershwin played by an excellent orchestra. Hopefully, you will have more music by George and Ira Gershwin.
What can you say about the Gershwins that hasn't already been said! The cast was spectacular! The principles we're all triple threats - acting, singing, and especially dancing. The staging was very inventive. I kept wondering "how did they think of that?"
The broadway adaption of An American in Paris is not to be missed - incredible dancing, inspiring music, amazing sets and a book that puts meaningful skin on the bones of this remarkable work of art.
