LILY ALLEN IN CONCERT:
Pop chanteuse and controversy queen Lily Allen has been stirring the pot ever since her debut single "Smile" topped British charts in 2006. While she may have matured as a songwriter, her stunning soulful voice hasn't changed a lick and neither has her risqué attitude -- after a several year hiatus, Allen made a triumphant return to the charts in 2013 with "Hard out Here," a no-punches-pulled critique of the cutthroat world of pop stardom. Equal parts flirty and brash, the provocative Allen will treat ticket buyers to classics like "F*ck You" alongside newer hits like "Air Balloon" on her latest tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
London-born Lily Allen got an early start in show business, landing several acting roles in childhood thanks to her actor father and producer mother. After a tumultuous youth that saw her attend 13 different schools -- several of which expelled her for smoking and drinking -- Allen was overheard one day singing Oasis's "Wonderwall" by budding soprano Rachel Santesso, who quickly took Allen under her wing for vocal lessons. In 2005 she signed to Regal Recordings, but due to budgetary constraints she was left to promote her music via Myspace, where early singles like "Smile" and "Alfie" attracted hundreds of thousands of fans. By the time her debut album Alright, Still was released the following year she already had a substantial following, paving the way for the album's quick rise to No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Her next two albums, 2009's It's Not Me, It's You and 2014's Sheezus, both skyrocketed to No. 1 on the British charts, cementing her role as a dominant force in English pop music and paving the way for continued touring.

Allen cut the show super short due to illness. Disappointed to say the least.
I had seen Lily Allen about 9 years ago at the House of Blues in Boston, MA on Landsdown Street and she was excellent. Apparently she did not think that her fan base grew over the last 9 years because her people chose the "Paradise" in Boston for her top play, which was way too small. She even commented that this is a "little cozy." The show was oversold and must have violated some fire codes. There were very few places where my wife and I could even see. The sound system was okay at best. She did a few songs from her first two albums that got big reactions from the crowd. She skipped her third album because it was a "dark time in her life" and relied HEAVILY on her fourth and most recent album. Her comments were very political as she made it clear she does not care for American politics in any way, shape, or form. The Red Sox had game two of the World Series against the Dodgers that night and I should have stayed home to watch that. I would have been saved the lecture on politics.
She was sweet and funny, sounded amazing, did all her hits and almost every track from her new album (except Lost My Mind and Your Choice, they was a slight bummer, but oh well) Venue was beautiful and the lights behind Lily during the show were fun and awesome too!
Best concert I’ve been in a long time! The venue was a perfect match and the acoustic were excellent. Lily Allen was magnificent!!!
Lily is amazing. Incredibly fun, sounds terrific, great rapports with the audience. She took pictures and signed autographs with fans afterwards which was an unexpected treat. Highly recommended!
Best sound and great venue for Lily Allen who is always fabulous live in concert!
Great concert and great lady ! She even did a meet and greet after. How awesome is that.
Seeing Lily Allen at the Buckhead Theatre was one of the best concerts I’d been! She puts on such an amazing and intimate show. Best part? She met everyone at the merch table after and was sooo sweet! Can’t rave about her enough!
Not the most elaborate of sets, but her live voice is awesome. And, her final song really sums up the USA climate right now.
