WICKED is a Tony-winning sensation that has been defying gravity and delighting Broadway audiences since 2003. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the fantastical prequel to The Wizard of Oz was nominated for 10 Tony Awards after it opened at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City, and won three, including Best Actress for Idina Menzel, who played the original Elphaba. The musical’s first national tour opened in 2005 and ever since, WICKED’s touring production has criss-crossed North America offering theatergoers one short day in the Emerald City filled with magic, music and the ”untold true story of the Witches of Oz.” The second national tour — known as the “Munchkinland Tour” — has been an open-ended production since 2009 and now stars Olivia Valli as Elphaba and Celia Hottenstein as Glinda.

Wicked was absolutely amazing! The entire cast was phenomenal!!
This is my third time seeing this show, and I was happy that we got to share it with our daughter! The seats we had were great, and I’m glad we were able to see everything from our vantage point. The only thing(s) I had issue with were the intermission being so quick, bathrooms were on a lower level and crowded, people coming into the show late, and a guy sitting next to me and crowding me. Given those were not show related, it did not ruin the time we had for this show. We laughed, cried, and enjoyed it every minute of it!
This was my sixth time to see Wicked over the past 18 years. The magic is still there! The cast was amazing and the tour production was fantastic.
WICKED was an amazing show and the Orpheum is a fantastic venue (not a bad seat in the house)!! I attended as a girls outting with my sisters....we will never see "The Wizzard of Oz"the same again!!
I thought the performance I saw of Wicked at the Orpheum was amazing! If I had to give one minor criticism, it would be that the beginning sound wasn’t as loud as it could have been. As the show went on, the sound got better. I’ve noticed this twice in the Orpheum. I think it had more to do with the venue than with the performers. BRAVO!
first timer here! Went with my mom who also was a first timer and we loved it! The singing was fantastic and I didn’t expect the comedy that was had.
Everything about this evening was wonderful! The Orpheum is a great venue and Wicked was fantastic! I am amazed by the talent of the actors! The play is well written and thought provoking - tie ins to the Wizard of Oz - we talked about it all the way home!! What an amazing experience!!
loved it - after hearing about wicked for years and years, I finally caught the vision on why it's everyone's favorite. Well done.
Wicked was fantastic. The talent that starred was phenomenal.
Thoroughly enjoyed Wicked! The cast was superb, set design incredible and the music was wonderful. Highly recommend this!
