Really great service Went in to the venue at a really fast rate
Have always wanted to see a race at this track. It didn’t disappoint. This is a prime example of why Indycar is the best racing series out there. Con - the sinage for parking for qualifying and the truck race left a lot to be desired.
The good, I loved the new seats in the middle lower section!!!! The fact that you took out half of the rows and opened all that leg room and the bar is awesome!!! I LOVED that and will never sit in the squished sections again. The racing was better then the All Star Race but it was trucks so maybe that makes a difference. Bad, the microphone! The poor girl that probably was all nervous and excited to sing the Anthem in front of however many people and you couldn't sound check and get her a mic that worked? Embarrassing and sloppy, do better. The Scanners. If I had wasted money renting a scanner you would have been refunding it. Sadly I have my own and it still wouldn't pick up the broadcast or the PA until there was 20 laps to go. Just because Its the truck race doesn't mean you can get all sloppy on us, I still paid over 100 for my family to be there that ONE afternoon. It's the little things that matter and when you only have 2 race weekends, there's no excuse for screw ups like that. Everyone I talked to w a scanner had issues picking anything up that wasn't random driver chatter. Again... Do better, but also love the new seats!
The race itself was great but info around tickets needs to be improved. Better marketing for event and better scheduling would bring in more fans and grown the sport. Unless youre a hardcore fan you wont make the effort to understand the tickets and go to the races.
I had lower seats by the pit row entrance. Couldnt see 3/4 of the track. But over all it was a fun experience
Bad tires not much challenge for lead interesting pit strategy by some teams
A had a set right up front was able to se everything and hear the cars a lot different from tv looking to go to more races again
My Wife and I were glad to get back to the races again. We always have a great time and this was no disappointment. Really like the upgrades to the TMS. More leg room and having a countertop for your drinks and food was well thought out. Not sure if this can be done. But having some rest room towards the upper seating sections (Example: Section 414, row 40's would be very helpful. It's a long walk downstairs and back again. You can miss a lot of the race during that trip. We'll be back for sure!
Overall, the experience was great, but it did have its flaws. When you go to TMS expect to have your phone charged and have to charge during races. If you plan on taking your kids to mercy trailers they are not “in” the gates they are outside the scanned ticketed area. So multiple bag checks/person searches/and ticket scans In/Out have to be made. This means lines. Lines you have to wait in, for however long it may take to get back to the even ya really paid to see. My advice. Go early, hit all mercy vendors ya want to purchase from and enjoy the race! Also sitting in the first row is a thrill but you cannot see the back stretch of the track at all. Sit high, obviously this is why tickets higher up are more expensive. Drivers don’t like TMS so let’s just hope Nascar and TMS can iron out something to make it more like able. Next gen cars/tires were deteriorating quickly to the Texas heat! Red Out! ✌🏼
ridiculous that TMS continues to charge premium pricing on seats when they cant even get 50% actual attendence. Ticket should be reduced by over 50% until they decide to reconfigure the track and can actually fill the seats. $165 for 1 adult and child to sit 4 rows from the top at pit entrance and our section was no where near even half full.
The red flag was kind of ridiculous otherwise it was a fun race!
Nothing like Nascar in person! Very fun environment... TMS changed seats in a great way... every othe row replaced with bar for concession stuff...lotsa of space in front and behind... is Great seating now! Race went a little long due to 10 Yellow flags and a hour long weather delay (lightning 8 miles away?)
A terrific weekend had by all! The Xfinity race was not as expected, single file racing for 300 miles was rather boring, but the 2 nights of Champ Kart and Micro Sprints was a blast. The Cup boys put on a better show. If there is one thing I would want NASCAR to change is go back to 5 lug nuts. The sound of a impact singing at 10,000 rpm definately gives us more of a thrill and they still have to take on a full fuel cell. I guess I'm still the old win on Sunday sell on Monday kind of racer! Lets work on getting Dodge back on the track, American muscle started the series long ago, and Dodge definitely can build muscle. Kudos to the drivers and teams putting on a great show, and a special thank you to the folks in operations that were able to give this out of state disabled veteran a VIP parking pass so i could enjoy the races pain free from not having to limp a mile to the track. You have no idea what a God send your office was in helping me. See y'all next year. One last thing, lets do the races later in the afternoon so we get the shade and the night races and please bring the trucks back the same weekend, hell make it a Texas truck all star event. I'd take the entire family to 5 nights of racing without thinking twice about it. We all still love racing and we must keep the tradition alive Tracy
I took my girlfriend to her very first race and she was extremely satisfied.I got her hooked on the races.
The 2022 all star race at TMS was the worst all star race in Nascar history. There was very little passing for a few drivers, no passing for most. Racers played follow the leader. Also the concerts used to be held on the front stretch. They moved it to the infield and you had to pay an additional $99 to attend. Could not hear it from grandstands
Blake Shelton was in concert at the NASCAR event on 5/22/22. The stage and audience were in the back of the infield and nobody in the bench seats were able to see it. All we could see of the concert was on the jumbo screen, and the audio was playing on it. The actual concert could be heard right along with the jumbo screen audio, which was delayed by a few seconds, so the sound was a mumbled mess! Maybe a concert stage facing the outfield crowd in the grass would be better? Acoustics facing the crowd would help out with the sound.
We got into town on Thursday and attended the truck race, the Infiniti race and the All Star race. We enjoyed all three races even though Nascar tried their best to give the All Star race to Denny Hamlin. They weren't successful however. Whoever was in charge of the music for the weekend deserves a raise. The music selections were excellent. We also took advantage of the ability to drive around the track on Sunday morning. It was a most excellent experience!
We all enjoyed the race and other activities very much! Only drawback - the $40.00 for express parking. Not sure why it costs so much since it's FURTHER away from the seating and we would have had no problem finding parking closer to our seats. This was our first trip, but hopefully not the last.
The day was an awesome experience. Front row seats at entrance to pit row, great action right in front of me al day. I wanted to see a race live & this was beyond my expectations. Plan to do it again next year. 😎
