  • can you say boring

by indyman on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 1 out of 5

The speakers and sound system was terrible! Before the action ever started you could not hear nor understand anything. Speaker system was the worst!!! Big screens they should just be taken out, you could not see anything on them. Maybe I am spoiled by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or maybe Texas Motor Speedway should go ask them for help!!!!! Next time I will stay home and enjoy the Indianapolis 500.

  • Indycar fan

by indyejm on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed the race I wish it would have had more side by side racing but, I still enjoyed the fastest cars that race on Texas Motor Speedway.

  • The truck race was awesome.

by TXRobert on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

The truck race was so exciting. I would recommend it for everyone, even people that have never been. In person is so different than on television. The truck race is shorter than the other races, so it is more exciting.

  • Night races rule

by Taffy2 on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

Even though I prefer road courses, the IRL night race is my favourite at TMS. Fastest cars in North America, 3rd largest sports facility on the planet, 3 girls racing, one of which who could actually win, extra stuff from Eddie Gossage, what's not to like? Eddie is awesome, always adds something for free that costs him, allows you to bring coolers with drinks and snacks, gives up millions of dollars in parking money just to save me $10 on raceday, and when I wrote a note thanking him for this on my season ticket bill, actually hand wrote me a thank you back. The only reason I downgraded it to four stars was because there was only one pass for the lead.

  • If you never been you need to GO

by Lonesome on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

If you never been you need to GO, it is a blast. Alot of fun and after the race you can visit the garage and watch the officals do the winners inspection. But really it not like TV and no one can explain it you have to be there.

  • Indy Cars at TEXAS are awesome

by YNOT on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

You cannot believe how fast the cars can go on this 1.5 mile track. Get seats at least 15 rows up from the bottom to be able to see the whole track.

  • Nascar trucks Rock

by RaceDad1 on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

Hey Y'all, What a great time! Everything was great from going through Ticketmaster to get the best seats @ the track. I even booked a hotel close to the track that was great for the price. Front stretch seats good food & yes a few fine Winstar Casino girls to help me find my way around. I can't wait for the next event in November '09. Throttle Up

  • Better than a cup race!

by EGreg on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

Our family of four attended this event as a less expensive and less hectic alternative to going to a cup race. Tickets were less expensive than a cup race and we enjoy watching the truck series because they are able to race a little harder than other series. We were pleasantly surprised at how much easier and how much more personal this event was. Parking was easier, finding a tram with open seats was easier and there was less foot traffic on the concourse and outside the track at the souvenir trailers. The drivers were more accessible too. We were all thrilled when TWELVE drivers showed up to an autograph signing session. We got to meet several of our favorite drivers and got plenty of autographs. We also met Hot Rod who couldn't resist giving me a hard time about displaying my Sooner apparel. The atmosphere was more relaxed and the racing was great! A great overall experience.

  • INDY IS WHERE AMAZING HAPPENS

by DOTDOT on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED INDY RACING BUT UNLIKE OTHER EVENTS THINGS CAN COMPLETELY CHANGE IN LITERALLY A SECOND OR TWO. RYAN BRISCOE WAS SO FAR AHEAD THE WHOLE RACE IT WAS AMAZING. THEN RIGHT AT THE END A PIT STOP THAT TOOK A SECOND OR TWO TOO LONG ALLOWED HIS TEAM-MATE HELIO CASTRONEVES TO WALK AWAY WITH THE TROPHEY. EVEN THOUGH I LOVE HELIO MY HEART BROKE FOR MR. BRISCOE BUT AS THEY SAY IT ISN'T OVER UNTIL IT IS OVER IS SO TRUE IN INDY RACING BECAUSE ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN UP UNTIL THE VERY LAST SECOND.

  • I love Indy Car Racing!

by MarkAndrew on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

I have missed one IRL race since Texas Motor Speedway opened...and I still regret missing Little Al's fraction-of-a-second victory. (I was attending my nephew's wedding in Tampa.) My favorite moment is always when the drivers go from their parade laps to "ramming speed," and the place explodes. By then, I have identified first-time attendees around me, and I love to witness the moment when their hearts get rocked--literally! My wife has missed only three races, so she is also a big fan...a big Danica fan. I've gone from following Tony Stewart's lime-green IRL car to Eddie Cheever, and now any of the four Andretti-Green drivers. I'm also glad to see Paul Tracy back. After every race, I'm tempted to go over to the ticket booth and offer more money because I'm always undercharged for the thrills I get. I'm yearning for June 2010 already.

  • First race ever.

by txnascargurl on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first race I've ever been too. I loved it, and I plan on going back ever year!

  • Indy Car Race Texas Motor Speedway

by Capcrust on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 2 out of 5

The race was pretty boring this year, don't really know why but there was no excitement. Indy Car is in decline and needs better marketing and racing!

  • First night race

by Steve315 on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

This was the first night race I had ever attended. It was also one of the very few "left turn only" races I had ever attended. I enjoyed it very much. The only complaint that I could come up with is that the parking arrangements for the race were not described anywhere. As a result, even though I got to the track a couple of hours before the race, I parked much farther from the gate than I needed to.

  • Amazing race!!!

by Moralesge on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

It was a very exiting race. Ryan Briscoe was the best, but at the end Helio had the best car! I will be there on 2010!

  • Bring On The Trucks!

by Babymoon on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

This was our first Truck race for NASCAR - so we really didn't know what to expect. WOW - We LOVED IT! Not only was it a night race (MUCH COOLER) but there was almost no traffic tie-ups. We had great seats and really got to enjoy the race. We have already bought our tickets for the race in November - That's how much we loved it!

  • The Winstar 400K Truck races were unforgettable!

by 3dracing on 7/14/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

The Winstar World Casino 400K NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was unforgettable! I will recommend the truck races at Texas Motor Speedway to all of my friends and family. The seating was comfortable, the traffic was minimal, and the track employees were very friendly. It was also fantastic to be able to watch the Indy cars prior to the start of the truck races. Everyone should go at least one time and you will be amazed:-)

  • TORC Races Were Fun

by Timber on 7/11/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

The TORC races were a blast. Lots of action. Pieces of trucks flying all over the place. We had a great time.

  • TORC in Texas

by Attitude on 7/11/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

Very exciting racing from start to finish. The TORC and USAC crews did an amazing job putting on a great show for the fans. The drivers made every race exciting to watch and the pit access makes the experience even better. Hope they can continue to grow and expand to other areas so fans accross the country can experience the excitement.

  • Mud, noise and heart pounding excitement !

by TXDM on 7/11/09Texas Motor Speedway - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

Fantastic... My whole family left wanting more. This was the best we had seen in quite sometime. In fact, we have our DVR programmed to record the entire upcoming series along their circuit. I've signed up for the TORC series email event updates and waiting to see if they come back next year... if they do, you can count on this family being there ! Driver/owners walked the stand greeting folks...it was awesome !
