This is a great event but do not go there if you are not prepared to spend some money. The cost of the merchandise is beyond most people's can afford. Food prices are reasonable for this type of event but the average family of four will spend about two hundred dollars for food and that does not include purchasing any memorabilia. Great time but make sure to prepare yourselves.
Seeing the players is great!! Michelob tent is too expensive for what you get! Prices inside tent aren’t any cheaper and not enough seating! Very Sad there was no dedicated military tent! Veterans deserve something special!
This was our first golf event ever to experience and it was fantastic except for the heat? Thanks Southern Company for the cool wrap.....we survived! 🤣
Wednesday, practice round, is entertaining. For a low price you get to walk with the players. There is sparse crowd, so you can be almost as close as you want. You can walk the course with your favorite and be prepared for the exciting challenge of the FedEx Cup Tour Championship on one of the best courses in America.

Excited and look forward each year to the PGA Tour at East Lake as I'm a Legacy resident of East Lake Terrace since childhood.
The whole weekend of golf was brilliant. Great location, great golf course and the best golfers in the world playing 72 holes of top class golf.
Fourth time attending this event. We go on Thursday to avoid the crowds. Great opportunity to see all of the players up close. Refreshments are expensive, especially alcohol. My only major beef is that if you take the shuttle bus from the World Congress Center, there are no signs at the golf course directing you to the bus pick-up location. Volunteers were uncertain as to the location as well.
The East Lake course, the ammenities, the level of detail in the organization, and seeing one of the greatest wins in history on final day, simply an Excellent Experience!
This is a great spectator course and is always great to see some of the greatest players in the world play up close. Certainly worth attending and they let my son come in on my ticket as he is a junior which is nice. My son and I generally get away from the clubhouse area as that is where most of the crowds are located and can see plenty of action without walking too far. The food prices are WAY TOO high as a Coke costs $5.75 and a water is $4.00. Cheeseburger is $13. The food I guess you have a choice not to buy, but on a hot day you need something to drink. They have a captive audience to purchase the food and I don't remember them gouging you like this at the Masters although it has been a while. The food quality was fine just too expensive. Not sure how the parking and busing went as we know someone close to the course and can walk from their place but I know the parking lots got sold out for that Saturday we went. I also am not completely sure they still have the thunderstorm issue and knowling where fans should and should not go during the lightning delay. We had a 45 minute delay and the storms never got bad fortunately but still not sure which buildings were safe and which ones weren't not to mention what the general public could go into. Not sure the marshalls are clear where to tell people to go either. The tournament and course though are great, just bring a wallet full of money for the food and drinks
Ourselves, along with many others, we’re very very disappointed in the Michelob Ultra tent. The increase in cost from the general admission was certainly not worth it. There were seats for about 1/3 of the people that were allowed in the tent. For that cost there should’ve been seating available for every ticket sold. As well, the volunteers assigned to the tent allowed patrons to save seats for several hours resulting in many chairs going without anybody sitting in them. Very poor management. Certainly would not recommend the upgrade.
Like most events, food & drink prices are ridiculous. Access to watch players was great except too little general seating on the course; you had to pay for, or have corporate connections, to set & view decently on much of the course. Also, letting people set up seats on the main walk, by clubhouse, helps cause a jam.
The largest disappointment was that the tour cut out the Patriot Outpost from East Lake. They can do better by our great veterans than this.
My wife and I come to the Tour Championship every year. This year was by far the best yet. The course itself was in fantastic shape. Greens and fairways were in perfect condition for a shoot out on Sunday. The anticipation and energy of the crowd on the last three holes coming in was electric. Although I was rooting for Scotty, the crowd was no doubt in Rory's corner. Congratulation to East Lake, the PGA professionals, and the PGA executives for a very successful tournament and season. Looking forwards to next years events.
The event gets more expensive every year. There isn't a lot of good seating for the fans who just buy a grounds ticket (contrast that with TPC Sawgrass where every hole has good places to sit). The food stands had run out of food by 2 PM. We have been coming every year since it moved back to East Lake. But no more. We've already decided not to buy tickets for next year.
Fantastic PGA tournament at East Lake Golf Club with great spectator viewing. Parking was plentiful and the coach buses that transported us to the course were very clean with comfortable air conditioning.
Walking around was easy. The only negative was that the fan shop was so crowded that it was hard to buy stuff. And they ran out of flags.
Tourney is great. Venue is fantastic. Well organized. The ultra club was way oversold with more than double the tickets sold than seats available. It was crowded with no amenities other than the ability to watch the TV coverage while close to a green. Will be going back to the tourney but never the club again
My ticket said I had assigned seats, I.e. Row 5, seats 26&27. It was printed on the ticket. However when we arrived there were no assigned seats, standing room only oversold with hundreds standing. No view. We Paid $235.00 per ticket. We want a refund. We left the Ultra and stood by the 13 th green. Horrible
