    Great Experience!

    by P Diddy on 8/29/23

I've been attending the Tour Championship for years, and it's always a great time! I unfortunately attended on one of the hottest days of the year, but the course had several cooling stations, areas where you could refill water bottles to stay hydrated, and the reduced the cost of bottle water by 50% to accommodate the patrons. As always, the course was in excellent condition, and it was really exciting to see the top 30 players compete. I'm even more excited about attending next year to see the new course renovations.

    Hot hot hot

    by Jman on 8/29/23

Need a beverage cart riding around course serving water/beer/etc as drink locations were far away and lines were extremely long. Also it was 100 degrees that day.

    Great competition

    by Cook on 8/29/23

Excellent performance by Hovland! He simply out performed all others many of whom played well. Course is a great venue for spectators. Some seating for general admission would be greatly appreciated by us older spectators !

Not as good as in years past

    by TT on 8/29/23

This event is a neighborhood favorite, because it does so much for our community. This year, it felt as though the operations did not run as smoothly. Lines were extremely long everywhere, they just did have enough staff to accommodate what seemed to be an increase in spectators. I hope they can fix this for future events.

    Great Event

    by Bg on 8/29/23

Shocked anything good happens in such a corrupt place Atlanta/Fulton County, but the Tour Championship is a top notch event at good golf course with great places to watch the players. Very fan friendly.

Overpriced and will never buy from you again

    by cpa on 8/29/23

Totally sucks and you get absolutely nothing for the price I paid

Cool tournament. +$100 tickets. Over priced.

    by TH on 8/29/23

I thought the tournament was a cool atmosphere. However relative to other PGA tournaments I felt admission price were way too high. +$100 even for the tour championship is high. I also think the later start time is not great. Especially in Georgia at the time of year. They should start early as a usual tournament.

Great tournament, ticket was WAY overpriced

    by MichUltraRIPOFF on 8/29/23

I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this. The MichUltra "club"was touted as special place to be. I anticipated an air-conditioned enclosure with top quality offerings considering that it was more than triple the cost of a grounds ticket. What I got was an open air tent with average event food and drink and a bleacher seat to watch the 13th hole. If I wanted to see any other part of the course, I would need to leave the tent. For this price I had expected some sort of swag unique to this sponsor or at least a discount on the food and beverage. I chose these seats because the weather was extremely hot and I expected an air-conditioned enclosure.

Over all we enjoyed the tournament.

    by Ron on 8/28/23

Enjoyed the competition, able to see the players up close. We used the shuttle buses to get to and from the event and it worked very well. Processing through the gate went well also, quick. The volunteers were very accommodating, we were seniors and we were offered rides on both days we were there. I rated the event a three star because the weather was extremely hot and we felt like they should have had more water stations, maybe access to water for cooling towels. Also as veterans we were very disappointed that the veterans hospitality center wasn’t here this year. Just felt slighted.

    rough ride

    by joe on 8/28/23

the parking at GWCC and bus ride for the next 25 minutes made the outing almost intolerable. Upon arrival the buses dumped us off on some random spot on Glenwood well away from the club house and main gathering areas. Upon departure there were no signs to direct you to the proper exit and you finally stumbled on the Glenwood exit area to board a bus. Traffic and tight downtown streets made that ride last at least 30 minutes. In years past we parked at Turner Stadium and had a 10 minute ride to the front East Lake gate. I'll go next year but I will park near the course!

    Tour championship

    by Pat on 8/28/23

Disappointed that there were not water stops available along the course as it was an extremely hot day. Only water was where food was. Also disappointed that there was no Patriot’s Outpost this year.

    Great experience

    by Rick on 8/28/23

Not much can be done about it but very hot, 106 heat index. Never did find the free water stations but appreciate the water only being $2. Overall, a really a great experience. Would highly recommend. Ticketing ran smoothly. No improvements suggested.

    Great experience but HOT

    by AG on 8/28/23

Getting in and out of East Lake was quick and easy. The rideshare area dropoff and pickup were clear and concise. The day we went was very HOT but that was to be expected. The grounds crew were helpful and friendly! I would 100% attend again.

Fun but too many golf carts

    by Golf carts? on 8/28/23

The tour championship was a lot of fun, and there were plenty of vendors on site for food and water. I also enjoyed the cooling stations as it was 100 degrees outside. However, the high volume of golf carts being driven through pedestrian walkways and fan areas was dangerous and alarming. At one point, fans could not walk along #10 green and #11 tee box due to 15 golf carts lined up next to the green. I saw another fan nearly hit by a golf cart with the driver not having any regard toward fan safety. I find this very concerning, and likely won’t attend next year if this isn’t addressed. Please reduce the number of golf carts being driven by TV staff and volunteers. In addition, the lack of bathrooms and signage for them was also frustrating. Not really what I expected from the tour championship, but there’s always room for improvement.

    Love the Tour Championship!

    by Phil on 8/27/23

I have taken my son to the Tour Championship 10 of the last 13 years and it continues to be one of our favorite events of the year. My son has grown up from 4-years old getting autographs from the players and learning to love the game through his experience here and, even though he's now 17-years old, the experience didn't disappoint. The players continue to be so engaging and encouraging of young fans and as a father I'm very appreciative of their availability to the fans. One item of note for this year was we were not fans of the new shuttle pick-up/drop-off. Going from World Congress Center was significantly more windy and took longer. The drop off behind #16 is not ideal for fans with young children or the elderly (especially in the heat) with a long walk to the club house from that point. Hope the organizers look at this in the future and make some adjustments. Otherwise this continues to be a must-see event every year! Thank you!

Great way to spend a Thursday

    by Tuffy on 8/27/23

Close to the players. Great food and drink options. Beautiful environment. Suggest more water fountains for filling plastic bottles. And we really need suntan lotion dispensers throughout the course!

    Not Spectacular Friendly

    by TourGuy on 8/27/23

I attended the Tour Championship on Thursday. It was an extremely disappointing experience. The venue is not spectacular friendly. Unless you pay big bucks to purchase a ticket to a hospitality tent or you’re a guest of one of the corporate sponsors and have access to their tent, you’re not going to find many places to watch the tournament without baking in the sun. There is little shade on the course. There are only 2 small spectator stands for those who purchase a non corporate sponsored ticket. There are no course maps available and no spectator guides. The concession stand prices are very expensive. The parking choices are also terrible. We wasted a lot of time having to park at the World Congress Center and ride the shuttle each way. The organizers could learn a lot from Augusta National in regards to how to run a tournament and treating the spectators.

    Great but better if….

    by Tink on 8/27/23

Love this venue, great course, much easier to get there than in years past. However Thursday there seemed to be more volunteers than patrons and quite a few of them were just wondering around with their golf shop purchases. This year it was announced there would be water available to refill you bottles or cups, I asked 4 different volunteers, several servers in food area an zero had a clue and two of them sent me off on a wild goose hunt. It seems that maybe the organizers should have shared this information especially in the horrendous heat. With the price gouging that goes on (I understand this is the status quo for entertainment events) you should accommodate your patrons. Looking forward to seeing the changes next year.
