SONU NIGAM IN CONCERT:

As one of India's most revered playback singers, Sonu Nigam is responsible for the pitch-perfect vocals lip synced by numerous Bollywood superstars over the years. His talents aren't just confined to behind-the-scenes roles, however -- an electrifying dancer and performer, Nigam has also had an eminent career as a solo artist, boasting more than two decades of beloved recordings. Hot off the heels of a successful 2013 collaboration with superproducer David Guetta, Nigam is set to dazzle on his 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Indian-born Sonu Nigam began performing at parties and weddings with his father at age three. At age 19, the two moved to Mumbai to launch the young Nigam's Bollywood career, which began with roles as a playback singer and a commercial voice actor. In 1995, Nigam became the host of Sa Re Ga Ma, a popular televised singing competition akin to American Idol. His breakout as a solo artist came just a few years later with the 1999 release of Deewana, a collection of romantic songs that remains one of India's top-selling albums. Over his decade-spanning career, Nigam has released more than 25 albums while continuing to tour to adoring fans around the world.

    Sonu great but management worst!

    by Ash on 1/8/24

I attended the concert at Long Beach on 9-Sept-2023. And the event management company totally missed the mark. There was a massive crowd entering the stadium and there was only one gate with two doors to enter! This meant really long queue, and many people had to stand in the queue for over an hour. And many people entered after an hour of event start. And there were not enough options to eat/drink, and worse was the fact that there was only one ladies washroom functional. Totally ruined the great show!

    Utter Chaos

by SJ on 9/12/23Long Beach Arena- Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long Beach

Sonu is magnificent, an artist par excellence. He's perfection, but this events management was a disaster. Crowds hardly settled down and were mostly looking for their seats for more than half the time. Several people kept crowding around the stage and corridors making it look chaotic and dustracting. Only one Ladies bathroom was operational in a crowd of thousands.

    Disappointed

by Seema on 9/12/23Long Beach Arena- Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center - Long Beach

The sonu nigam show was disappointing as the seats were terrible and sound system was not good...all we heard was loud music but could not hear the singers...we paid 220 $ per person for the tickets and were truly angry. The crowd was walking around and the singer insisted they did down but no one was listening...not happy customers. Sonu nigam is a big name and it was not fair to him as well that the crowd was late walking in...for the money we paid we needed better seats. Washrooms were terrible with four stalls closed due to water overflow ☹️

Sonu was great. Sound Quality was not (Eagle Bank Arena)

    by EagleBearer17 on 9/6/23

First off, hats off to Sonu Nigam. His voice and stage presence is truly great. I was really enthralled to hear a truly great artist perform live on stage. Such an amazing artist that even after a week, all I am playing is Sonu Nigam songs on a loop. There were severe audio issues though at Eagle Bank Arena on Sep 1 2023. The noise was so loud that we were not able to hear properly for most of the concert though it was fixed somewhat towards the end. Please Intense/Eagle Bank, do a mic check next time and have folks availble to fix in case there are issues. I had temporary hearing damage for full 24 hours after the concert. Nevertheless, I am eagerly waiting for Sonu and other such great Bollywood artists to come back and mesmerize us in the DMV area.

    Review of Eagle Bank Arena

by Summit on 9/6/23EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Sonu Nigam entertained us very well. But the eagle bank arena, fairfax was the problem. The audio was not good and they were not allowing any bags into the stadium. They should communicate this before the event, lot of them had to return to their cars.

by abi on 9/5/23EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Great performer with an amazing band. We had some technical difficulties with the sound at Eagle Bank Arena, but once that was fixed, he put up a great show. He took me back to my early 20s and loved it.

Disappointing Sound Quality at the Concert

by Ab on 9/5/23EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

I had high hopes for last weekend's concert, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by a significant issue – the sound quality. While I was excited to see the artist perform live, the evening disappointed me due to the persistent audio problems that plagued the event. From the moment the concert began, it was clear that something was amiss with the sound. To their credit, the artist made several attempts to communicate with the technicians to address the issue. They even turned to the audience and asked if their voice was coming through clearly, which was a moment of frustration for both the artist and the attendees. Although there were efforts to improve the sound quality during the event, it remained poor. This made it difficult to fully appreciate the artist's talent and enjoy the music, as the sound was distorted, inconsistent, and often impossible to hear. It was evident that the technical issues were not the artist's fault, and I sympathize with them for having to endure such a frustrating experience on stage. While I understand that technical glitches can happen, event organizers and technicians must ensure that such issues are promptly addressed, especially at a live performance where sound quality is crucial to the overall experience. It was unfortunate that the event concluded with such a subpar audio experience. Despite the sound quality issues, I still appreciate the artist's effort in their performance. Their dedication to delivering a good show was evident, even in the face of technical challenges. However, I hope that future concerts at this venue will be more thoroughly prepared to prevent similar sound quality problems and provide a better overall experience for attendees.

Eagle bank Arena sound quality sucks

by RP on 9/4/23EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Organizers should stop scheduling music concerts in the Eagle bank arena, Fairfax venue. As the sound acoustic quality is pathetic. Many people left the show in between because of poor sound quality as they could hardly hear the singer's voice specially audiences sitting in the back. Good sound and music quality is what an audience minimum expectations from a musical concert and that is always missing in the Eagle bank arena. This was my 3rd concert at this venue and the sound quality has gone from bad to worst.
