This was great! The Orpheum is a beautiful theatre. Lots of people in the crowd came dressed in Halloween costumes. The host of Spooked is a magnetic speaker and he knows how to captivate the audience. The other speakers were also great. The show had two dance numbers by a group of belly dancers. The first was very cool, the second was a little static and not as good.
Such an entertaining show! The stories were excellent and the storytelling was so good. Everyone was such a treat to see
I have been a Snap Judgment and Spooked fan for years. The event was so good. The stories were heartfelt, deep, and some had me rolling with laughter. The music was seamless with the stories. The dancers made me feel like I was experiencing some Ancient Greek mystery religion. It was one of the best shows I have attended all year… and I saw a lot of good shows this year. We left exhilarated and filled with joy and wonder. More! Any other Snap Judgment or Spooked shows happening…. I will be there. Thank you Glynn, the story tellers, the musicians and the dancers!
Being in the room with Glynn and the storytellers! It was a delight and the setting could not have been more appropriate. Thank you #Spooked for the amazing evening. I have had a crush on Glynn Washington’s voice since my first snap judgement podcast and to be able to witness the person in his element was very satisfying cerebrally. THANK YOU #LAIST 89.3 for the Orpheum’s visual & sensory experience, it was perfect for the performance.
I loved the stories and the atmosphere but thought the dancing seemed out of place. I would have preferred more stories. The comedic storyteller was hilarious! Also being able to attend a live show taping would be fun, like with Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me! I don’t think this show was being recorded to be put on the air? I had fun and really enjoyed the show overall!
It was different than the podcast. More standup comedy-like but immensely entertaining.
Amazing stories- storytellers, fun crowd and loved the band! Can’t wait to go again next year.
I was in the third row. Being able to hear his voice and follow his expressions... witnessing the complete way uses his whole being to emote and storytell. It brought dimension to the voice I’ve listened to on the radio for many years. It gave each story that much more humanity, pain and beauty. He is incomparable. The others did a good job but I didn’t much care for some of their subject matter or language, outside of the Airbnb story. Glynn is just a professional on a different level.
The storytelling at the event was top-notch, full of intensity, humanity and humor.
I absolutely loved Snap Judgement. It has been the highlight of all of the shows that I have been to this year, potentially ever. The vibe, the stories, the music, all were flawless. I loved this performance so much!
