About

Roger Waters found international fame as a founding member of legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Selling over 250 million albums worldwide and being inducted into both the British and American Rock & Roll Halls Of Fame, Pink Floyd is one of the most influential bands of the 20th century. Roger Walters has also had tremendous success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums and touring extensively all across the globe.
Roger was the creative force behind the prime years of Pink Floyd's impressive run. From the classic album The Dark Side Of The Moon in 1968 until Final Cut in 1983, Walters was responsible for the lyrics, arrangement and concept behind every album they released. By the time he left the band in 1985 they had been firmly established as one of the most critically acclaimed and best selling bands in popular music history. Albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall are some of the best selling albums of all time and still sell literally thousands of copies every year to this day.
After leaving Pink Floyd he moved into solo projects with albums such as Radio K.A.O.S and Amused To Death, once again concept albums in his unique style. In 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he staged his most elaborate concert ever with a giant outdoor performance in Berlin where the Wall once stood. Featuring guest performances from the likes of Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell and Cyndi Lauper, the concert registered an official attendance of over 200,000 people. The official live album, titled The Wall - Live, was released shortly afterwards and quickly went Platinum. This period of his career also saw Roger collaborate with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck on various projects.
After taking a seven year break from both public eyes and the music industry, Roger returned with a bang in 1999 with a tour that started small and quickly grew. With more modest venues quickly selling out, more dates and larger venues were quickly added as the return tour expanded worldwide. For over three years Roger toured the world, culminating with a performance in front of over 70,000 at Glastonbury Festival in 2002. In 2005 Pink Floyd played together for one last time at charity event Live 8. Roger has continued his solo tours on and off since then, often performing special arrangements of Pink Floyd material mixed with his solo work.

    Roger

The music and the show is still amazing but it would be nice to see him without all of the political bashing of the USA.

Roger Waters — This is not a Drill

by Robinablue on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

My first time seeing Roger Waters. I expected great things, but I was still surprised to get to know him better. His artistic and political views meshed and communicated quite clearly with straight forward dialogue. That was eye-opening, amusing, honest and refreshing. First rate musicians and voices. The in-the-round stage engaged the whole audience. The videos were mixture of historical, animation and interactive text that brought a deeper meaning to the lyrics. As the band rotated around the large stage with gigantic cross shaped screens, I was drawn even closer to the whole experience. This is the very meaning of an event and I was completely satisfied.

Roger as only he can deliver.

by Dflem on 10/12/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Incredible thematic show from opening lines to final exit. He makes good his invitation to a safe place for direct and sometimes disturbing freedom of expression. For those who can see past themselves, a litmus test for how we see ourselves and others in a f-uped world controlled by demigods in control of the power and wealth of the world who manipulate and destroy anyone or anything of less value than they imagine themselves. Roger unapologetically points out the taboo issues, unpopular facts and violations of human rights as he challenges us to sit at “the bar”and take it all in. It’s his show and his voice. He doesn’t offer solutions other than that they must come from us and not from the power of the heartless world of power and greed. As an equal opportunity offender (which includes the sheep) he delivers his message as we all sit at the bar and and give him our kind attention. Thank you Roger.

Awesome show, amazing sound system and Roger rocked!

by Think Roger Pink Floyd on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

It was an enormous evening to see Roger waters and his band performance once again unbelievable. The show went on as expected. It’s amazing how a legend as Roger is in his 70’s can perform so brilliantly and warm the audience to his attention to remind them the "show must go on" no matter what generation you are in. The legend of classic rock of all times once again proved age is not a barrier to continue awaken the souls to feel the pain we’re all going through being dominant all over the planet.

by REDBEARD on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

The concert was excellent in the performance and presentation. The political aspects were presented tastefully without interfering at all. The screens were partially blocked by the spotlights and other equipment but the staff was very gracious in allowing one to take photos from a better position. Overall and enjoyable evening

Show better than expected but disappointed in merchandise

by no program blues on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

How is there a show of this scale and not enough programs available to sell? Is there any hope of getting a program?

    Unforgettable Concert, Great Venue

by GS on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

First time at the AAC (not from Dallas) and it was very nice. Roger Waters was excellent, an amazing singer and entertainer. Only negative was the “Copper VIP Package” I had, pretty disorganized and they were out of shirts an hour before the concert.

    Deep Waters

by JimSwim on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Due to a guy on plane refusing to get off phone, flight delayed about 30 mins while he was removed...just enough to result in arriving after Comfortably Numb, The Happiest Days of Our Lives, Another Brick in The Wall Part 2, and in the middle of Another Brick in the Wall Part 3 ugh. Other than that., good show. Amazing video screen with interesting, though-provoking picutues, esp. facial recognition surveillance and pre-written narration by Waters re: early days of Pink Floyd/Sid/song origins/tour title origin. Sheep cool - love Waters walking the stage pointing at audience and going Bahhh, Bahh. Pig cool too. Overtly political and pro rights of all kinds - good. Good back up singer and musicians.End of tour - think shirt size selection. American Ailrines center staff ar top notch. Song highlights Run Like Hell, Have a Cigar, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Us & Them, Brain Damage, and Two Sunsets. Money video good and Two Sunsets video appropriately disturbing as it should be. Told a nice story about his wife, Kamilah, and the song The Bar.

    Socialist not an entertainer

by Stelmos on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

The worst concert I’ve ever attended. What a colossal waste of money. Listening to his Socialist Marxist agenda throughout the concert is not entertainment. I went to listen to the songs I’ve loved for years, not attend an Anti-American, pro Communist political rally. I don’t blame David Gilmore for not wanting to associate with a political whacko lunatic like waters. He’s 79 years old and wants us to believe he is somehow still relevant. It’s all just a bit of course, to stir controversy and make himself feel somehow connected. I’m done with his music and his politics.

    Great Show

by Tiller on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

I have seen Pink Floyd twice without Roger Waters. I saw Roger on the Dark Side of the Moon tour, The Wall, and now This is Not a Drill. I have come to the decision that this show was definitely close to the top. Of course I would have been very happy to see David and Roger together but I also know that is not going to happen. But I am thankful for what I did get A Incredible Show. This concert will be in my memory for ever.

    Hate rally at its finest

by Mad Cat on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Let me start by saying I knew Roger Waters was left leaning, but I did not expect his concert to be a true hate rally. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts but never anything that comes close to this. He hates the USA, police, & Christians. We tried to let him get it out of his system but by the 5th song, he started mocking Jesus and the Lord’s Prayer. These tickets were an anniversary gift for my husband that I paid $800.00 for. I have never walked out of a concert until now. I have no words. If you love any of the above listed things, do not give this man your money. He will certainly never get any of mine.

    Awesome show!

by AJ on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

This is was my first Roger Waters and Pink Floyd related concert I have ever attended. Sorry it has taken me so long, but This Is Not A Drill exceeded my expectations! It had everything... lasers, video graphics, nostalgia, social commentary, old and new music, a floating pig and sheep, and more! I felt Roger Waters monologues made it a really special night. The time went way too quickly. I thought the sound volume was too loud at times, but I remembered to bring earplugs. Overall... a great show!

    Experience of a Lifetime

by Hos on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

This was my 3rd Roger Waters concert and this was his most intimate show by far. He is always the consummate performer but there was something different about this show. He was real and raw and still managed to put on a fabulous show. If you are on the fence about going, buy the best tickets you can afford and enjoy the show. You will not regret it.

An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. It’s an extraordinary display of someone who has honed their craft for decades. The visuals, the showmanship, and the music are tightly choreographed to leave you with one of those indelible experiences.

    never disappoints

by jc on 10/11/22American Airlines Center - Dallas

Have been fortunate to see Roger Waters several times including once w Pink Floyd (nothing compares to that one) Had a blast every time. I don’t necessarily agree with some of his politics but he ALWAYS puts on a great show for his fans. Ticket prices were expensive but worth it
