    Too crowded

by R. K. on 8/18/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

Great vibes, great music and food but way too crowded. The tents were very hot and more water fillups and shade would be nice. But we still really enjoyed it.

    Awesome 50th

by Sandy on 5/20/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

We enjoyed ourselves very much at this year's NOLA 50th Jazz Fest. Santana was great and very entertaining for 2 or more hours; Boz Skaggs was awesome and Chris Thomas King was exceptional in the Jazz Tent. Weather was a bit warm and very little to no misters unless you were in the overcrowded tents. Food met our expectatations - crawfish monica - shrimp poboys - bread pudding with rum sauce - pulled barbeque. Fais Do Do stage had great music both days we were there - 1st weekend of event.

    I had a blast!!!

by Rich on 5/14/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

I lost my first day due to the weather, but the next 3 days were perfect. This was the festival's 50th anniversary and it showed. I was very impressed with how organized everything was, and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into making it a great experience for all who attended. I was most impressed with fine music from the unknown bands, and all of the headliners performed at the level you would expect. And, the variety of music was fantastic. They covered gospel to zydeco, and all the groups I saw really gave it their all. This was my first time attending, and I can't to return next year.

    One Little Grape Gripe

by Page on 5/13/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

We loved Jazzfest. The only little complaint is the wine selection at all the booths was limited to Merlot, Pinot Grigio, and sparkling wines. Of red varietals, I would guess Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir would be more popular, and with white wines, Chardonnay is probably the most popular. It would be nice to have a good wine to go with the great food at the Fest.

    Bucket List! Done!

by Lorri on 5/13/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

It was such a wonderful experience that we plan to go back! The music line up was impressive, as were the stages that held each genre of music (jazz, blues, gospel...). We lucked out with weather..We went Friday & Sunday of the last weekend & ended our Sunday with John Fogarty. Amazing performance.... The ease of getting around, finding food vendors, music tents, drinks, was better than I had imagined. I highly suggest the Grey Line Shuttle.. a little pricy, but worth every cent.

bad sound, big costs, big crowds

by L. M. on 5/11/19New Orleans Fair Grounds - New Orleans

been coming for years, but probably will skip the days of festing for the future. I made it out for dave matthews and managed to deal with the crowds and find a space by the back speakers, but the sound was TERRIBLE. I moved around a bit to see if I was just in a dead spot, but I couldn't find a place to rock anywhere. The crowds around me spend the entire show talking and for $90 just to enter, it's not worth it anymore.
