by Jordan Rivers on 7/29/23We were expecting to see the real Man U in San Diego and turns out they were in Houston ready to play Real Madrid the following day. When tickets were released for this game they were in the $200 range and the people that paid good money expecting to see their favorite red devil stars were terribly disappointed and were not expecting to see Manchester United’s youth squad. I talked to people who flew from various countries and were highly disappointed. Most of the day turned out to be a promotional date for Wrexham’s FX show, which Ryan Reynolds and company promoted heavily, yet only one of the co-owners actually bothered to be there. I know Hollywood is on strike, but also a disappointment to the Wrexham fans who left with a bittersweet taste in their mouth as well after seeing an inexperienced youngster take down their star player and send him to the ER in the process with a punctured lung. The only plus was the crowd and they were rewarded with goals. A sellout under false pretenses and all at Snapdragon stadium; perhaps the poorest built American stadium I have ever attended. No shade and very poor tailgating conditions, with hazardous dust and gravel everywhere. Lots of room for improvement fellas. 💔 😞 ⚽️ 🏟️ 😈 🐉
