    False Advertisement

    by Jordan Rivers on 7/29/23

We were expecting to see the real Man U in San Diego and turns out they were in Houston ready to play Real Madrid the following day. When tickets were released for this game they were in the $200 range and the people that paid good money expecting to see their favorite red devil stars were terribly disappointed and were not expecting to see Manchester United’s youth squad. I talked to people who flew from various countries and were highly disappointed. Most of the day turned out to be a promotional date for Wrexham’s FX show, which Ryan Reynolds and company promoted heavily, yet only one of the co-owners actually bothered to be there. I know Hollywood is on strike, but also a disappointment to the Wrexham fans who left with a bittersweet taste in their mouth as well after seeing an inexperienced youngster take down their star player and send him to the ER in the process with a punctured lung. The only plus was the crowd and they were rewarded with goals. A sellout under false pretenses and all at Snapdragon stadium; perhaps the poorest built American stadium I have ever attended. No shade and very poor tailgating conditions, with hazardous dust and gravel everywhere. Lots of room for improvement fellas. 💔 😞 ⚽️ 🏟️ 😈 🐉

Wrexham are popular but sending the United U-21s was poor

    by RC on 7/29/23

Tickets prices were off the charts due to Wrexham's popularity but United fielding under 21s was a bad decision. There were tons of United fans and to give them that lineup was poor. Disrespectful to the fans.

Dissatisfied with the B side of Man U

by Disappointed that the Manchester United squad that I had paid to see decided to play elsewhere the next day and we saw the B squad. If it had been advertised as such I would not have flown to San Diego. on 7/29/23

Great seats, friendly people just not what I paid to see.

Went to see the Rolling Stones and a cover band shows up

    by Abysome1 on 7/29/23

Extremely disappointing buying tickets for a Manchester United FC vs Wrexham FC game and then having the Manchester United Academy XI team show up. When the tickets went on sale there was no mention of an all academy team (yes they did throw in aging Jonny Evans maybe so they could say it wasn't all an academy side). It should have been billed Manchester United Academy XI vs Wrexham just like the Galaxy II game was advertised. Obviously I anticipated there was going to be plenty of young players in the line up like the Chelsea vs Wrexham game. Selling tickets with the billing Manchester United FC vs Wrexham FC and then coming out with little seen press releases after the fact is very deceitful. Wrexham held up there end of the bargain and were a joy to watch!

    Disappointing

    by Uncle Oogie on 7/29/23

I paid to see Manchester United. The team that played in San Diego was NOT Manchester United. I paid a premium price to see a top notch Premier League team. That’s not what I got. Presenting a junior team in San Diego as Manchester United when the “real” team was in Los Angeles was simply a ripoff. We were conned. Ticketmaster and the promoters should be ashamed.

Top money to watch the kids team

    by Wrexham on 7/29/23

Purchased the tickets as soon as they came in sale. Manchester United vs Wrexham $250 per ticket after the YouTube videos with Alex Ferguson and the wrexham owners. Looking forward to a great day out. They day before we find out it will not be the actual Manchester United first team or squad but they’re under 21’s team. So we paid a lot of money thinking we were going to see the stars of the team but only got to see the kids team. Total rip off. Not at all happy with them or to let master. But will never get a refund.

    Umm…. A little disappointed

    by LuMurphy on 7/29/23

It should have been advertised that the Man U ACADEMY TEAM was playing and not their main players. That was a massive mis-representation. Extremely Disappointed.

    Not the best

    by Rab on 7/29/23

Snapdragon was a decent stadium, however it was not very ADA friendly and neither were most of the people attending. The match was decent for the fact it was the U20 United team versus the first team of Wrexham, essentially boys v. men. Great goals from both teams. Unfortunate for Mullins and Bishop in their collision. The lack of knowledge and ignorance of the "fans"did not make this very enjoyable. Between the ignorant comments and booing the enjoyment of the game was void. The seating chart listed on ticketmaster was not very accurate as the seats I purchased were not right next to each other as shown on the map. The inability to exchange or refund tickets was also disappointing as the only option was to resale or sale for pennies on the dollar to ticketmaster who would just turn around and upsell them. Overall I've been to better events with much better ticket benefits.

    Bait and switch

    by Jake on 7/28/23

For weeks, United advertised this game with their first time players, including social media posts with the first team in San Diego the day of the game. And then they shipped the first team off and played their youth players. Manchester United lied to their fans and so many of them paid a lot of money not only to attend the game, but for travel and accommodations. This was a total scam.

    Tricked

    by KevinW on 7/28/23

Terrible experience. The main team did not show up to play like initially advertised. They sent the under 21 team and fans were not happy at all including myself. You cannot say Manchester United is coming to play and leave out it is the under 21 team. San Diego fans got suckered my ticket master and ManU. I would never had laid to see the under 21 team. False advertising.

    Not The Expected Lineup

    by Gera on 7/28/23

We were extremely disappointed because the lineup did not include several of the top players (Rashford, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandez) from Manchester United. I will not go to another friendly game for Manchester United.

Snapdragon is not yet a soccer venue

    by Ed on 7/28/23

The game was exciting but we didn't know what was happening. Good venues show substitutions, red card recipients, and goal scorers on the big score board. This didn't happen nor were any announcements made with any of this information. Additionally, stoppage time was not tracked on the score board. With just a little attention to detail, fans could get vital info from either the scoreboard or from announcements. This would greatly enhance the fan experience!

    Sad But True

    by Jimbo on 7/28/23

Trying to park at this venue is horrible. We arrived 1 1/2 hours before game time. And missed 10 minutes of the 1st half. We had purchased a parking pass days before. With a row and spot number. Once we got into the parking lot we were told to park anywhere. No real traffic control. Staff poorly trained. Suggest taking the train. The venue itself is very nice. Plenty of food choices. The game was okay. ManU trotted out the C-D players. The soccer was enjoyable. I won’t be coming back obviously.

Great venue, good game, somewhat expensive....

    by Conchanfle on 7/28/23

First time at Snapdragon and the stadium is definitely a great venue for any event. The stadium is very intimate and a great view of the pitch from any seat. The game itself was good, Man U practice squad lost to Wrexham, a League 2 side. IMHO the food and drink are overpriced, next time for the price we'll most likely eat better at an outside restaurant before attending an event at Snapdragon. But overall we had a wonderful time and it was a good experience

One of best atmospheres and overall the venue was amazing.

    by Serg on 7/28/23

Took my brother to see United as his first game at snapdragon, he loves United and we both loved the atmosphere around the stadium, the beer was fairly priced but that’s usual price for getting the buzz lol , will continue to come to events here especially with the new mls team I want to get season tickets as soon as there available

    Misleading Event

    by Eztofind on 7/28/23

When tickets went on sale, the match was advertised as Manchester United vs Wrexham FC. The game end up being Manchester United's Academy (Youth) Team vs. Wrexham FC. I paid full price for a misleading soccer game. Very disappointing!!!

    Terrible traffic

    by Manukrzy1 on 7/28/23

Great stadium but unnecessarily long parking jams. It shouldn’t take an hour to go a mile. Also, United should have informed fans the youngsters were playing. It was an expensive trip to see maybe two to three players on the periphery of the first team.
