Beautiful newly refurbished stadium, and the Wizards beat Man U! Fantastic event.
This was a great event. Lot's of fans and lots of fun. Nothing like great soccer on a Sunday afternoon.
Game was great, weather little hot, could have been a lot worse. Sad Rooney or Owen wasnt there
Venue great. Soccer was a bit sloppy at times, but when they played spot on, was great to see in person. Would have been nice if staff would NOT have let people bring in those loud, obnoxious horns from world cup!!!!!! I rec'd an e-mail on Friday from venue, specifically saying noise makers were not allowed. So if people snuck them in, find and take away from people!
it was great to see the support of soccer in Kansas City. Wish Manchester had brought their team and not loaded it up with their 'b' team. They weren't playing at their full potential. Wizards made a great showing however! Wish Kansas City/Arrowhead had prepared more for traffic control. Sat on 435 North for 1 1/2 hours trying to get off on Raytown exit because signs said Stadium drive was closed and it ended up not being closed. Thanks KC Public Works.
Great game. Good to see the home town team beat a world powerhouse.
I was proud to be an American soccer fan on this day, as many people around the nation showed up to support Manchester United and the Kansas City Wizards! Absolutely awesome experience! Parking was easy, finding seats was easy. People that worked for Arrowhead were very helpful. Can't wait to get more soccer venues here! It just goes to show you that Soccer is on the rise in America!
It was awesome watching on of the greatest soccer powers in the world battle against the native Wizards. They even got down to 10 men an still pulled out a victory against the Red Devils. Great game.
It was an awesome game, the new Arrowhead looks simply amazing.
My boyfriend and I had a great time at the game. I am so happy that ManU came to Toronto. The stadium was very easy to find and the city was super fun. We even loved it when the chants were going on during and after the game. I would totally recommend this experience to anyone.
$130 for a ticket for this event at Rogers Centre. More expensive than a ticket for Blue Jays game and yet only a fraction of the service provided. Two people serving at one of the few open refreshment stalls. Strict enforcement by security of which seat to sit in, despite numerous empty seats all around the stadium. Ridiculous ID'ing policy for everyone buying alcohol with ID required for at least 2 people if buying more than one alcoholic drink. Poor service, poor value, poor event.
The match itself was fantastic, much livelier than other recent friendlies and both clubs gave it an honest effort. Crowd atmosphere was great, nice and loud. It's too bad the 500 level section was so empty and I was shocked at how expensive those seats were --- if they sold some of the 500 level seats for around $30 (as opposed to $75 for all nosebleeds) the place would have sold out. Furthermore, I found it to be a joke that we were not permitted to PURCHASE a match program without purchasing an item of clothing. Absurd, and some of those programs being tossed into the recycle bin could have been sold to us. Organizers need to think these things out more carefully --- sometimes charging too much will make you lose business. Thankfully United and Celtic put on a good show.
The venue was very convenient and clean. Security personnel were pleasant.
Wow, what a great event! I'm a female senior citizen who went by myself but it was so festive! Before (a quick dinner at the Renaissance since all the pubs were full) with fans singing and cheering; during of course; and after (even an hour after the match ended, Man Utd fans crowded the streets and we all high fived and cheered and waved). It was wonderful to see the players in the flesh; to have a chance to see the new guys and the young players in action; and when after the match ended they all circled the perimeter of the field applauding us, the fans while we cheered them wildly - well, they are a great TEAM and that is what I love about them.
Would like to have seen more first-string players than second-string ones.
Great game. The only issue was some of the big players didn't play.
