WELCOME TO LA CAGE AUX FOLLES!

Winner of three 2010 Tony Awards® including the award for BEST MUSICAL REVIVAL, this hilarious new production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES was the biggest hit of the 2010 Broadway season, leaving audiences in stitches night after night!

LA CAGE  starring George Hamilton and Christopher Sieber tells the story of Georges (George Hamilton), the owner of a glitzy nightclub in lovely Saint-Tropez, and his partner Albin (Christopher Sieber), who moonlights as the glamorous chanteuse Zaza. When Georges' son brings his fiancée's conservative parents home to meet the flashy pair, the bonds of family are put to the test as the feather boas fly! LA CAGE is a tuneful and touching tale of one family's struggle to stay together... stay fabulous... and above all else, stay true to themselves!

With a glorious score of hummable melodies and a dynamite cast featuring the "notorious and dangerous Cagelles," LA CAGE is an indisputable musical comedy classic... and this extraordinary new version shows you why!

    Totally fun!

I saw the 1985 production with Gary Marshall playing George and loved it. This version was just as good. The songs, the dance, the stage bring a total package.

    Fun time, boring Hamilton

by Anonymous on 1/3/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

The performance was a lot of fun, and we had a great time. Sadly, George Hamilton's performance left a lot to be desired, but the rest of the cast was fantastic. With the exception of Hamilton, the cast was high energy and seemed to have a lot of fun.

Great show with the exception of George Hamilton

by LinettaBella on 1/3/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

The overall cast was great! However, George Hamilton was not the right man for the job -- very poor casting. He seemed to have wandered on stage from the old folks home. He was very stiff and not well suited for the part.

    Oh, My Badness

by init2xs on 1/3/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

George Hamilton ruined the play for me. He was too old, too stiff, and too uninvolved. He seemed to draw the others down. George's maid was poorly cast as well--a 180 degree difference--way over-acted. What I expected to be a great way to start the new year was a huge disappontment.

    Very entertaining

by Discrimination on 1/3/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

I thought that because I liked the movie so much I might be disappointed with the play. It turns out that this was not the case, the play was different but just as good.

La Cage Aux Folles was super fun!

by iceddiva00 on 1/3/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

This was a fun show with catchy music. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. But when the Bank of America Theater says limited view, they mean it! With the dress circle, you are fighting the the balcony overhang. Even though I couldn't see the whole stage, I still got the story and the gist of the performances.

It was Good, but Could have been better

by 1Windycity on 1/2/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

I thought the show over all was very good. It was the movie "The Birdcage" all over again. However, I think George Hamilton should not have been cast in the show. No disrespect to George, but he just didn't do much for me in this role. Otherwise, it was funny, fun, exciting, entertaining and very good.

It was an ok performance. Alban was amazing and had a voice that filled the theater, but the others were just average.

    Harrison the weak link

by Siskelimitator on 1/2/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

Despite the lackluster performance from George Harrison, the rest of the cast carried the production of LA Cage Aux Folles. Even though the headliner brought in the audience, his lack of pizzazz was disappointing. Even in the curtain call, he chatted with cast-mates and lost his place in the song and dance. Thanks good the rest of the show was spectacular.

I have always loved the storyline of this musical. This production just lacked some excitement and powerful vocals and acting.

La Cage Aux Folles was THE best theater we've seen

by Anonymous on 1/2/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

I laughed out loud, I had tears rolling down my face. Nothing I've seen or read or know about has served up thoughts about what it is for homosexuals to get through everyday life. We took our 22- and 23-year old children and they never stopped smiling. Thank you casting department--the two leads were the whole show.

    La Cage

by babsieko on 1/2/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

The performance was good. Second banana is much better than George. As I said, you come because you want to see George, but the real enjoyment is the rest of the cast.
