Way too expensive, not enough animal acts, no cannon this year
Not exciting best part was the trolls and bumble bee
The “(2) Free Children’s tickets” caused our family of seven to miss the first 30+ minutes of this event. I had purchased five (5) tickets online through Ticketmaster along with so-called insurance for a total of $228.50. Upon scanning my purchased tickets at the door when presenting the two “free” children’s tickets I was told to go to the ticket window to the left outside the door; where four long lines of people buying tickets were standing in the wind and rain. Once I reached the window I was advised that there were not 2 seats near my purchased 5 seats. I purchased 2 more tickets. I don’t even know where they were. As we entered the door a Shriner Gentleman said “come with me”. He had witnessed our issue, and our autistic child becoming impatient to get inside. He took us to seven, front row seats and told us “it’s all about the kids, enjoy the show”.
The show could have been better. There were no elephants, cannon balls or fire throwers😉. The dirt bike rider walked away from the sphere so we didn't get to enjoy that part of the show.
Very upset about rides charges. How could family who paid a lot to enter event, then asked to pay so much for rides, afford ride prices.
The performers did very little performing, the clowns were not funny, the outer rings were barely used, the lighting was poor, and they never stopped for 30 seconds selling the toys and food and drinks in the stands. The best part of the show were the camel and pony rides at intermission.
Intermission too long. Need things for older kids to do. Slanted toward young ones.
Only a couple of acts were worth seeing, it was extremely overpriced and a lot less entertaining as before, won't be doing that again, so not worth what it cost, the only positive thing I hope is that a portion of the funds support families in need through the Shriners foundation
Entry was great scan and go! Seats weren't properly labeled, you had people sitting in the wrong seats. EXPENSIVE 15 for popcorn, funnel cake, and drinks is absurd. Unsanitary and I felt like it was all about sales and not for the kids enjoying the show I mean all you heard was yelling POPCORN $15.50 DRINKS $15.50. I just thought it was too much... OMG FACE PAINT was 10.50 you can't take the kids anywhere without it costing a fortune.
This was not the circus that I remember or even 3 years ago. I have loved the circus but this year it felt cobbled together. no real trapeze, no animal acts but at the beginning. the clowns have a 5 minute bit and then a single act that i have seen 3 year running. The cycles at the ender were neat. Even the tightrope act was not impressive. the fillers of singing with audience and having 3 of them dance... that was just filler. I doubt we will make it to the 100 anniversary next year but will go one up in fort Wayne. It appears to have much better acts. My daughter didn't mind but she did lose her attention a few times. The acrobatics were neat and the acts where they hung from ribbons. it was nice to see the big introductions and finally to the circus. over all 2/5 stars. oh, a train to ride for $10 come on. at least the camels and horses were there. I always went for the danger and excitement. and it just lacked both. I would even pay more for the tickets if it had better acts. l
