About the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest rodeo and livestock exhibition in the world. Also called RodeoHouston or abbreviated to HLSR, it is home to one of the richest regular season professional rodeo events. Since 2003, it has been held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. It was previously held in the Houston Astrodome.
It is considered to be Houston's signature event. New Orleans has Mardi Gras. Dallas has the Texas State Fair. And Houston has the biggest Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event is 20 days long, starting with the Downtown Rodeo Roundup held near Houston City Hall and the Downtown Rodeo parade. Also held is the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run, a 10k and 5k walk and run, and the World's Championship BBQ Contest. The show features championship rodeo action, livestock competitions, concerts, a carnival, pig racing, barbecue, a wine competition, shopping, sales and livestock auctions.
The rodeo has drawn some of the biggest recording artists including Cardi B, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Selena, Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Selena, Kiss, Dixie Chicks, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Justin Bieber, Big Time Rush, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, John Legend, Taylor Swift and Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others. The 2019 lineup includes Camila Cabelo, Luke Combs, Tim McGraw, Zedd, Kane Brown, Los Tigres del Norte, Zac Brown Band, Kings of Leon, Santana, Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson Band, Brad Paisley, George Strait, and more.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Zack Brown was truly a great show
by Nanajudy60 on 3/26/14Reliant Stadium - HoustonI thoroughly enjoyed the show. The only problem I had was with the sound. The band was so loud they drowned out the beautiful harmonization these guys have. Especially when they sang " Sweet Annie".

by AnjS on 3/26/14Reliant Stadium - HoustonThis is our second time to see the Zac Brown Band at the Rodeo and they did not disappoint. I love that they play their hits and some new songs. They did a couple of covers that were amazing as well. What a great way to end the Rodeo. I would recommend Zac Brown to anyone if you like country music or not.

by SharksToTheLeft on 3/26/14Reliant Stadium - HoustonWhile the HLSR is an awesome event for the family, the concert sound remains just aweful. For some reason this show was much worse than the other shows I attended this year and for the last 5 years.

Rating: 5 out of 5 best $21 ever spent
by kreklecker on 3/25/14Reliant Stadium - HoustonThe whole event was amazing. We got there early to enjoy all the activities. As far as Reliant Stadium goes there is not one bad seat in the facility. Blake Shelton was amazing and the concert stage rotated so visabilty was not a problem and the mega screens were great. We were in section 512. Would go again tomorrow if it was happening!!!
Rating: 1 out of 5 Greedy disorganized organizers
by wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww on 3/25/14Reliant Stadium - HoustonA bottle of water in the rodeo area was $3. Inside the stadium was $8. Nobody can take any food inside. I didnt bother to ask about the food inside. I do not carry around a lot of cash for safety reasons, and few places take credit cards here, so I spent what little I had on water. Arrived on time according to the tickets. Three hours later, there was still no show. We were just watching the cowboy/western competition. If the schedule was printed somewhere, I would have skipped all that and arrived when the band perry started. Unfortunately, due to lack of food/water/cash, I left without seeing the band perry.
