About the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest rodeo and livestock exhibition in the world. Also called RodeoHouston or abbreviated to HLSR, it is home to one of the richest regular season professional rodeo events. Since 2003, it has been held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. It was previously held in the Houston Astrodome.
It is considered to be Houston's signature event. New Orleans has Mardi Gras. Dallas has the Texas State Fair. And Houston has the biggest Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event is 20 days long, starting with the Downtown Rodeo Roundup held near Houston City Hall and the Downtown Rodeo parade. Also held is the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run, a 10k and 5k walk and run, and the World's Championship BBQ Contest. The show features championship rodeo action, livestock competitions, concerts, a carnival, pig racing, barbecue, a wine competition, shopping, sales and livestock auctions.
The rodeo has drawn some of the biggest recording artists including Cardi B, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Selena, Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Selena, Kiss, Dixie Chicks, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Justin Bieber, Big Time Rush, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, John Legend, Taylor Swift and Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others. The 2019 lineup includes Camila Cabelo, Luke Combs, Tim McGraw, Zedd, Kane Brown, Los Tigres del Norte, Zac Brown Band, Kings of Leon, Santana, Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson Band, Brad Paisley, George Strait, and more.
Usher was unforgettable. He did an amazing job with all the singing and dancing. Usher was very entertaining to watch and kept the crowd on their toes. This is a show you don't want to miss and I wish the Rodeo have him back again!
The overall show was good but I wish he would've performed longer and sang some of his old material. I really liked how he went into the crowd to take photos and shake the fans hands. Way to go Robin!

I really didn't chose to go to the Band Perry because they were my first choice. I'm really not much for Country but I wanted to go to the rodeo for my birthday! I was pleasantly surprised of how much I really ended up enjoying them for only knowing one song. Great energy from the performers! recommended

The Zac Brown Band is awesome, and they put on an amazing live performance. I'll definitely go see them again!
I remember the concerts being a little bit longer, but the last few years they have gone to an hour. Not enough time for the artist to really get going Tickets on any level are hard to buy even the first day. We always get roof top seats.
Awesome band, awesome concert but i was expecting a better quality sound, i hope next year we have a better sound system in the rodeo concerts.

Acoustics were terrible so we left concert early. We were a group of 5 and all agreed to leave early. The rodeo was great!

Zac Brown Band was amazing as usual. The sound system, or the volume being too high is still a major problem at Reliant. The echoing is terrible and the sound people need to turn the volume down in order to compensate for the poor acoustics of the stadium. This has been a problem since the place was built. I would never recommend a non-rodeo concert at this venue.
After two songs about drinking/partying, and Ms. Perry shaking her hips in her short skirt, I took my family and left.
Kim and her brothers are Amazing!! Their energy really got the crowd going. Wonderful singers and guitar players. What a great show. I highly recommend seeing them in concert. Also Kim looked sassy with her wild hair, leather top and skirt and tall, black Louboutin boots. Awesome
