Indie folk pioneers Fleet Foxes earned a reputation as innovators with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2008. It shared the same name as their first EP, but it was phenomenally more successful, going on to achieve gold status in the US and platinum in the UK. Because of their distinctive sound, Fleet Foxes were immediately in demand as a live act, first showcasing at US festivals, including SXSW and the Sasquatch! Festival, then selling out concerts worldwide in countries such as Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Fleet Foxes were formed in Seattle in the mid-2000s when Robin Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset bonded over a love of shared musical influences. Drawing on everything from classic country to folk to rock, Pecknold and Skjelset molded these influences into a unique and personal approach to making music. Now, Fleet Foxes combine everything into a hybrid of folk, rock and pop, along with talented songwriting and subtle harmonies to create something truly unique. Fleet Foxes are as renowned for their musicianship as they are for their lyrics and as comfortable in front of the camera as they are onstage. They have appeared everywhere, from Saturday Night Live to the Way Out West Festival. The band’s second album, Helplessness Blues, received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album at the 54th Annual Awards and rose to No. 4 on the US Billboard 200. Having tickets to see Fleet Foxes on tour creates the chance to experience an evening of virtuoso musicianship where amazing vocal harmonies and the subtleties of American roots music are overlaid on the incredible sounds of today.
