While I really enjoyed the concert, I did prefer previous years at Central Park. Being near JFK made lots of noise with airplanes and helicopters, as well as the VIP lounges being super noisy during performances.

such an amazing experience! darren criss created an event that is everything a theatre fan could ever ask for. felt super safe because vaccinations were required and checked on site. good drinks, good people, socially distanced and felt safe! would love more food options next time!
I have been to Elsie Fest before and it is the best festival you can go to. The best music ever played in the best environment and with the best people always, people who love musical theatre.
I absolutely LOVE Elsie Fest so much! It's been the highlight of my year in 2015 and 2016.

Great concept and amazing talent all day! Terrific vibe. Loved the between sets sing along at Marie's Crisis Beer Garden. Got a late start which turned it into a very long day if you wanted to see Darren Cris at the end. For a 8 hour day, would have been nice to have some picnic tables or similar in addition to the food trucks- especially with the no in and out policy. Limited food choices for the day. Otherwise venue was great.
This was a Broadway Lover's dream come true. The weather was beautiful and the line up of performers was excellent: Lea Salonga, Darren Criss, Aaron Tveit, Leslie Odom, Jr., Seth Rudetsky, Katie Boeck, etc.... I also loved the Marie's Crisis piano by the water where one could go to take a break, have a beer and sing show tunes. The whole event was brilliant. I can't wait for next year! ElsieFest was fantastic! It was exciting to see/hear Broadway artists performing songs from different genres, and they seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the fans did. Darren, of course, brought his own incredible and unique energy and range to the stage. My only hope is that next year, the venue will include lawn seating (rather than a cement pier) for people who can't afford the VIP seats.
