About

Raised on the Bakersfield honky tonk of Buck Owens and traditional country like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, Dwight Yoakam has created more than a dozen studio albums of his own self-described hillbilly music over nearly four decades. On his 2012 collection, “3 Pears,” the Kentucky-born performer reached out to Kid Rock and Ashley Monroe of Pistol Annies for co-writing help on a couple songs, while Beck co-produced the successful set.

Ticket buyers know a slew of Yoakam singles when they head to his concerts — from the chart-topping “Guitars Cadillacs” from the similarly-titled 1986 debut and “I Sang Dixie” off of 1988’s “Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room” to 1993’s “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere.” And when he’s not on the tour bus canvassing the nation, the singer/songwriter may be on a movie set. His acting credits include critically acclaimed roles as an abusive boyfriend in “Sling Blade” and a psychopath killer in “Panic Room.”

    Dwight was Dynamite!

by TRP on 6/3/24The Anthem - Washington

Dwight Yoakam and band were sizzling from the moment they took the stage! Excellent sound and he hit every song perfectly. The crowd loved them! Also, the Mavericks were awesome too! The Anthem is a terrific venue as well! Ps, we flew up from Florida for the show! -Terry and Sharon, Florida

    Wonderful venue; incredible music!

by Laurie on 5/31/24Blue Note Summer Sessions - Napa

Had a night of great fun and amazing music enjoying Dwight Yoakum at The Meritage Resort outdoor venue. His concerts always make for fine listening and there isn’t a bad seat in this more intimate, friendly outdoor concert space.

    Bucket List Show

by BeefSupreme on 5/29/24Orpheum Theater - New Orleans

The show was phenomenal! Everything I'd hoped for. The venue was clean and attractive. Not a bad seat in the house. The acoustics were great. The only criticism is that the ADA seating didn't match the online seating chart. It seemed to be an afterthought The usher, who was wonderful, had to locate some chairs for my wife and I because they weren't prepared for ADA seating. Also, the seats were directly behind regular seats so a gentleman who had difficulty standing had his view totally blocked out when the crowd stood. Just something to consider.

    Dwight and band

by Nieceyc on 5/27/24Blue Note Summer Sessions - Napa

They’re fabulous! So good. Opening act Annie Bosko was also Super entertaining! We had a fantastic time. Only downer was the high, too high, price of can of vodka seltzer. Exorbitant price of drinks, food and parking kind of make you feel ripped off. But that’s not the bands fault. So overall enjoyed experience.

Great except for the flashing lights.

by Marie on 5/26/24Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

Dwights always great! Put on a better show than the last couple of years. I really appreciated the attendants making sure people sat down in their seats. That’s a first for me at a concert. You can go dance on the sides. The only complaint is the BRIGHT flashing lights coming from the stage. Why do they do that? BLINDING and seemingly unnecessary. Great night though and a lot of fun!

    GREAT EXPERIENCE

by GenieTee on 5/23/24Blue Note Summer Sessions - Napa

The venue at The Meritage in Napa is outstanding, and the sound quality was fantastic! Dwight Yoakam did not disappoint, sounding very much like he did back in the day! There were 4 in our party and we all really enjoyed the show. Now, trying to figure out who's playing there next, and when we can see Dwight once more!

    GREAT Show in Reno!!

by Rhonda on 5/23/24Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

This was my 3rd Dwight Yoakam concert and the main reason I came to Reno. Never pass up an opportunity to see him in concert. His backup band was INCREDIBLE and VERY entertaining! I LOVE Dwight's music! I'd say he played for at least 2 hours. I paid for second row seats, and it was definitely worth it! Annie Bosko opened for him. I wasn't familiar with her, but she was also VERY GOOD! I have already started downloading some of her songs and look forward to the song she recorded with Dwight coming out the end of this month. Overall, a VERY entertaining show, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

    Great energy and fun

by Adam on 5/22/24Blue Note Summer Sessions - Napa

I’ve seen Dwight five times and he always brings it. Plays all the hits and goes all out for two hours. If you are a Dwight fan or a classic country fan, you will have a great time. This is not something I typically recommend but I would recommend bringing earplugs just in case. Dwight does sometimes crank up the amps to 11.

    Great show

by Pat on 5/22/24Blue Note Summer Sessions - Napa

Small venue and a great time. I prefer the smaller venue because where ever you sit you can see the stage rather well and the crowd was relatively older and not so many young people who tend to party a little too hard for my liking. I would definitely consider seeing Dwight if you already haven’t
